  1. Hey Charm, long time no speak, how're things with you? Fantastic reviews. These books really sound like something that would interest me. I've been really on a bit of a crime kick recently, so it seems like another wishlist addition.
  2. They've never interested me. I don't think I'd enjoy them. It may just be me but the turning of the pages, immersing myself in the book, not into a machine.. it's just not something that's interested me. Maybe that will change.
  3. It was the same with me. I read the first HP book when I was 7, and loved them instantly like thousands of kids at the time. Such a popular series for adults and children world-wide. I don't really remember what was the first book I read, because I read from a very early age.. but I imagine HP was the most notable. Then it just went from there.
  4. Sounds really good. I posted my thoughts on your review in the thread itself. You've read the same amount of books as me this year!
  5. Ended up having a pizza and some salad. Really need to go shopping otherwise it's unhealthy food when straight back from a holiday.
  6. I don't understand how the hype spread so quickly with Twilight. I read them before anyone in my school - it's a big school as well - and then start lending them to friends. Within about a week, all my books in the series were leant out and I heard people talking to them that didn't even normally read. It was mad.
  7. Let me guess Bee, you'd read in for pure fan-girl purposes.
  8. It sounds brilliant. Funny, but light at the same time. Plot sounds interesting and entertaining, and it's quite short as well. Sounds like a very interesting read. Great review Janet, got me interested now.
  9. Some brilliant quotes here, keep them coming. Kell I especially love that one and can relate to it. I'm looking for one I can put in my signature, also, so be warned of my pinching skills.
  10. That's interesting. Haven't heard about that.

    Hi there!

    Welcome to the forum Elgin!
  12. I really want to know what I'm having for dinner tonight actually.. I've got no idea.
  13. Usually something with chocolate in it. Can't go much wrong there.
  14. I can understand exactly why you wouldn't like it. But can't say exactly why, if you know what I mean. It's one of those books like marmite.
  15. Oh, my apologies.
  16. No I was quoting Kelly's post from the book Marked because I love that first line.
  17. All the characters are great in Twilight. I think that's what makes it so damn popular.

    Bargain Books!

BookJumper you wasn't supposed to tell people about that. *shifty eyes*

    Fantastic bowling from England.
  20. Yes, I've only read the next two Betrayed and Chosen but I enjoyed them as much as Marked maybe even more considering things get a lot more interesting.
  21. Decent review Kelly, I was looking forward to seeing what you thought of Marked. Precisely my thoughts really. I thought the sexual references were a bit strong for the market age, but your write about the characters and plot being easy to follow and read on through. Glad you enjoyed it.
  22. Yep I completely I agree, it's so frustrating.
  23. Okay, I've not seen this thread around but feel free to delete this one if there is one about. Obviously the clue to the thread is in the title. When we are reading I'm sure I'm not the only one who comes across a good quote or line from some character in a book. I thought that as we find them in the books that we are reading, we could post them here. I'll start with the one in my signature. 'I'm not worried, Harry,' said Dumbledore, his voice a little stronger despite the freezing water. 'I am with you.' - Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
  24. Okay I'm really going to have to get on-board with these novels. Seems to be a lot of hype about them amongst this forum. And I'm afraid I'll have to shamefully admit I've never even looked to see what they are about.
