  1. LOL! Thanks! I haven’t read the books and I've only watched the first two episodes so far. My friend has been trying to get me to watch it since it started last fall, but since I was trying to cut back on my TV watching I refused. Then this summer the CW was re-running it so I promised her I would DVR it and I'm so happy I did!
  2. Just started watching The Vampire Diaries and now I think I'm hooked!

  9. Didn't get much reading done today, but I did stop by the library to pick up my requested copy of The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. I also went to Barnes & Noble and treated myself to a few books. I got: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson Little Bee by Chris Cleave Daughter of Fortune by Isabel Allende She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb Life on the Refrigerator Door by Alice Kuipers
  10. Curious if anyone has read Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger and enjoyed it. I really wanted to read it, but there seem to be so many mixed reviews for it, that I'm not so sure now.

  18. Yesterday I finished The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom. I guess I'll start The Prince of Tides by Pat Conroy next since I'm still waiting for my requested copy of The Perks of Being a Wallflower from the library.
  19. The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom Synopsis: From the author of the number one New York Times bestseller Tuesdays with Morrie comes this long-awaited follow-up. Eddie is a wounded war veteran, an old man who has lived, in his mind, an uninspired life. His job is fixing rides at a seaside amusement park. On his 83rd birthday, a tragic accident kills him as he tries to save a little girl from a falling cart. He awakes in the afterlife, where he learns that heaven is not a destination. It s a place where your life is explained to you by five people, some of whom you knew, others who may have been strangers. One by one, from childhood to soldier to old age, Eddie s five people revisit their connections to him on earth, illuminating the mysteries of his meaningless life, and revealing the haunting secret behind the eternal question: Why was I here? A moving and profound contemporary fable, The Five People You Meet in Heaven is an important reminder of the interconnectedness of us all. Courtesy of barnesandnoble.com Review: I’m giving The Five People You Meet in Heaven a 5/5 and I highly recommend it to everyone! This little book touched me more than I ever imagined it could. This is definitely a story I won’t soon forget.
