  1. I have a book out from the library at the moment that has half a page ripped out! I was very shocked when I saw it, only a few pages in. Although it was the end of a chapter and there were no words on that section of the page or on the next side I still thought it was very rude ;)

I hope the librarian doesn't blame me for it when I go to return it

  2. Yep, I liked Triptych, it was different from her 'usual' series of books - set in a different place with different characters so could easily be read without having read any of her others. It was a little bit gorey in places but not too much if your used to reading crime/thriller type books :D

I think overall I would have given it 9.5/10, it kept me hooked until the very end and I didn't have a clue what was going to happen in the end. I hope you enjoy it Ben :D

  3. Finished reading Genesis last night and really enjoyed it, I liked the way she combined the Grant County series with her Will Trent series.

The only thing now is I'm going to have to wait ages until her next new book comes out! :icon_eek:

She's going on a book tour in America to promote the book over there, but it is called Undone instead of Genesis, I don't understand why they do that but never mind. I wish she would come and do some promotion work in the UK too at some point....

  4. Yeah Fractured is really good, I think you'll really like it Lexie, I know I did.

But I think all her books are really good, except for Martin Misunderstood - I didn't like that one it just wasn't her usual style of writing and seemed like a pointless story to me anyway.

  5. Has anybody got the new Karin Slaughter book, Genesis?

I put myself on the library waiting list ages ago when I heard it was coming out and I went to collect it yesterday! Haven't started it yet but am quite excited, I love her, she is my favourite author :D

  6. I read the Lion's Gate while I was on holiday and really loved it, I just couldn't put it down. I will have to keep an eye out for some of his other books, have had a quick look on amazon and the ones that stand out for me are Plum Island and Cathedral.

  7. I just got back from holiday and I read Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer, The Lion's Game by Nelson DeMille and This Charming Man by Marian Keyes all very good but all different from each other.

Was a bit disappointed as my Marian Keyes book was brand new from Tesco but about 6 or 7 pages decided to fall out randomly one day on the beach! Luckily I managed to keep them all safe and have tried to put it back together so my Mum can read it.

  8. Great review Roxi, I saw the movie and really enjoyed it without realising it was based on a book so when I saw the book some time later I was totally put of reading it due to all the twists that were in the movie. I felt like it would be a waste of time as I already knew what happened. Maybe if I come across it again I will read it next time. Good movie though

  9. Does anybody know if the books by Nelson Demille should be read in any particular order? Or does it not really matter?

I have recently come across The Lion's Game and although I'm only a few pages in I feel like the main character must have been in several other books and that I might have missed something....

Thanks in advance for the help! :)

  10. Has anyone been watching Lie To Me on Sky One?

I have just watched the first two episodes on catch up over the weekend and really liked it - just wondering what everyone else thought of it?

  11. I really like Sophie Kinsella too. This sounds like another good one from her!

Thanks for the info Janet :D

PS just tried to enter for an early copy but it's only open to US residents

  12. I don't have any real interest in football but my boyfriend (a massive footy fan) says it should read like this:

    1) Bobby Moore

    2) Geoff Hurst

    3) Gordon Banks

    4) Paul Gasgoine

    5) Chris Waddle

Hope I have spelt their names right!
