I've never heard of the maximum ride series so just looked it up on amazon and it sounds very different to the other James Patterson books that i've read - it says they are aimed at young adults. All the books have very good reviews though so i would also be interested if anyone has read these as i like James Patterson but this just sounds too different for him!

Do we have another Sookie addict on our hands?
Are you watching True Blood Purple Princess?
Yeah i've been watching it on FX but i think it is quite a bit different from the book - read the first chapter of Living Dead in Dallas on my lunch break and am liking it already!

A great series of books to read is the Women's Murder Club by James Patterson.
The first book is called 1st to Die and is brilliant. They are about a Homicide Detective, Lindsay Boxer,a Journalist Cindy Thomas, a Coroner Claire Washburn and a DA Jill Bernhardt who get together to solve murders. Its does sound quite cheesy but the books are excellent I have read the first three and there are 8 in total. If you enjoy a great crime/mystery novel I highly recommend you read these.
I love the Women's Murder Club series too, I think I have read the first five and have books 6 and 7 on my bookshelf. Although I do think it is a bit strange that James Patterson doesn't do most of the writing himself as each book has a sort of co-writer - I'm not really sure how it works as the books do all have the same sort of flow and style to them but the co-writer is not the same for them all:shrug:

I finished Dead Until Dark last night in bed - couldn't go to sleep until i finished it because i was so close to the end!
Am going to start Living Dead in Dallas when i go for my lunch break today - hopefully in about half an hour

I bought I'm watching you by her a couple of weeks ago but haven't read it yet - looking forward to it now that you've all been saying good stuff about her work

I'd been waiting for the vampire for years when he walked into the bar.

Have finished Twenties Girl and I throughly enjoyed it! The characters grew on me as I got further through the book and although it is a bit far fetched I still really like her style of writing and it was just so easy to read.
Hope you're enjoying it chesilbeach!

I'm about a third of the way through Twenties Girl and it's just starting to get good, although I have to admit that as of yet I'm not liking this one as much as some of her others but I'll try not to judge it until the end.

Me too! The trailer looks very good, i loved the book

The thing about lying to your parents is, you have to do it to protect them.

I'm with the group who think the book is terrific.
Me too, i thought it was great

I'm 26 now but last year when I was 25 I pulled up in my car to get my dad's lottery tickets and was refused! I even pointed out to the woman that I had just got out of my car but she still said no, so I was 9 years older than the legal age to play and I was refused, was quite strange, but I found it funny in a complimentry kind of way

Ha ha, good point Michelle! I do that all the time to be honest - borrow books from the library but then don't get round to starting them or just don't like them so never finish them
But if she has read them all that is very impressive! She can't possibly remember what happens in them all though!
-
Yeah I loved the goosebumps books too! I watched the TV series as well but I didn't think it was as good as the books. I don't remember any book specifically but I do remember being scared in bed at night after reading them
-
Read them and loved them, i've also passed the Twilight bug onto my friend and my sister
-
Glad to hear you enjoyed The Host! I'm really struggling with it and seem to be avoiding reading it but I'm going to keep trying as I'm not very far in yet, maybe only 80 pages or so
-
I watched the first episode last night. I thought it was ok and will keep watching it as I usually don't get hooked with the first episode of many things. I haven't read the books yet but am in the bookring for them so I'm looking forward to receiving them
Hey all!
