  1. I have never read the book, but I have heard good things.
  2. I found this great little used book store and I was very impressed. The atmosphere was perfect, close to home, and of course a great selection of books. They even give you a free book of your choice for a purchase over $10! The books are dirt cheap and I brought in a pretty good haul. I was even able to find some original covers of John Grisham books! BUT I got to thinking about these books. They are not all in the best condition, they are not bad, but they have been read before. It just got me thinking of who had this before me, what did they do with it, what were they like. Maybe I am over thinking this Do used books bother you? They don't bother me all that much. For the most part all my books come new, but I don't mind the odd used book considering the condition.
  3. I bought a new bookmark today. It is a picture of a rustic light tower at sea. It also has a tassle. It looks so professional
  4. LOL, I agree. If you see someone in an airport with a paperback you think typical reader, but a hardback gives a way different impression. I agree with this.
  5. I just had a cup of wild berry tea, so good
  6. I really don't think they will make any more movies
  7. I read hardback books, but not that often. I have about six in my entire collection. I don't prefer them, but will read them. However, I buy books so much that it is just cheaper to buy paperbacks. Also they are smaller and I enjoy them better. I'll take a paperback over a hardback any day of the week
  8. This is a neat challenge. It is cool to see how the different authors from around the globe write. Enjoy it!
  9. Um. . . good question. My favorite is the Bourne Identity. It just kicks everything off and the mystery is good. The books and the movies are actually fairly similar. I enjoyed the movies and Matt Damon played a really good part.
  10. I agree. I stoped after the first three.
  11. I LOVE Chai tea. The one from Starbucks is sooooooo good!
  12. There is alot of talk about Poe. Has anyone ever read the Poe Shadow? It is a book about the death of Edgar Allen Poe. I don't think its too creepy, but would provide for a good read for the Poe fans. The author is Matthew Pearl. I have read some of his past works and he is an excelent writer. Here is a link: http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/books/The-Poe-Shadow-A-Novel-Matthew-Pearl/9780812970128-item.html?ref=Search+Books%3a+%2527The+Poe+Shadow%2527
  13. When it gets cold and you need to be warmed up, a good cup of tea does wonders. It warms the soul and heart What kind of tea does everyone enjoy? My personal favorite is Green Tea. I love the taste and it has many health benefits
  14. I would suggest reading the first three books. They are the originals and you will get more enjoyment
  15. I have such a huge pile of books to be read, but sometimes I just get such an urge to go book shopping. I am so addicted
  16. I think the reason you might be a little disapointed with this book is because it was not written by the master Robert Ludlum! After his passing the series ended. Eric Van Lustbader picked this up, but it just does not have the same flair. It is like Mark Winegardner who wrote The Godfather Returns. The book just did not have the same flair as the original writer, the true master, Mario Puzo. I guess my point to all of this is to read the original works by Robert Ludlum. They are the originals and I promise you won't be disapointed. The Robert Ludlum books are: The Bourne Identity The Bourne Supremacy The Bourne Ultimatum I am not sure if you have read these or not. I hope I could help.
  17. I am not sure how big Oprah is across the sea, but here in North America she is HUGE! Oprah has claimed she is a big time reader and she started a book club to share all the books she reads. She interviews the authors and talks about the books. If you glance through the archive there are many good reads. I have read a few from her book club and I have never been disapointed with one of her picks. I just thought I would share this, maybe you guys might find your next read! http://www.oprah.com/obc/obc_landing.jhtml
  18. I really like this answer. I think that is the one book you should glance at before death.
  19. I am ashamed to say that I too enjoyed the film
  20. Yeah I have to agree. I like your rating system too
  21. LOL everyone wants a re-read. They are taking the safe road. No one wants to be disapointed before death
