  1. Welcome to the forum Sarah.
  2. No idea, but seeing as that's what all the professionals seem to say and agree on, I'll take their word for it. That's your opinion though and as so many people have pointed out on this thread, this is an entertainment show and as such the viewers vote for who they want to win and the public voted for Tom. The only way the best dancer would win is if there is no public vote and that idea didn't go down too well in this thread previously. At the end of the day if John Sargent hadn't have walked out, there would have been four couples in the semi-final and this whole shenanigan wouldn't have happened so in a way all those people who kept him in for so long are to blame in a roundabout kind of way. Just out of interest Mia, who did you vote for to win?
  3. The only reason people think he should have gotten the boot last week was because of the judges scores - the public last week voted him there favourite. As in he beat the other two, which in normal circumstances would have saved him!
  4. Happy Birthday. Have a great day!

  5. I'm glad Tom won. I actually think all three finalists did a great job, and yes okay maybe Tom was technically the worst dancer out of all them but as the man he has it harder to begin with so I still think he was fab. I was happy for either Tom or Rachel to win and even Lisa to some extent although I really don't like Brendan. He's a fantastic dancer but there's something about him that I just don't like.
  6. Well he did win the public vote last week, so in a way I hope he does win.
  7. Yeah that's true about Addison and Preston. But personally I think
  8. Okay, so maybe instead of voting for the person they want to save they should vote for the person they want to leave.
  9. You make a very good point Mia and one that I agree with.
  10. There was also a rumour doing the rounds recently that
  11. ^ You have had an excuse Kell. I've been introduced to a fair few new authors myself and have enjoyed reading a fair amount of books this year. On the downside, when my computer crashed the other week, I did lose my book list. The list that I had been keeping with the title and author of every book I've read for the last few years and me being the complete dumbwit that I am didn't have a backup. Luckily I do have the first half of it printed out in hard copy form, but the rest is lost forever and is something that I'm really annoyed at myself about. I've since bought a memory stick specifically for my book list!
  12. I hope the rumours aren't true and they have been denied by all concerned, but then they would be even if they were true so who knows.I guess we shall have to wait and see.
  13. I've also heard those same rumours.

  17. Hi Paul, welcome to the forum.
  18. To be honest with you I don't really see what the big deal is. At the end of the day, there would have been an even bigger scandal if someone (aka Tom) got booted off on Saturday when those that voted realised that their votes wouldn't have affected the results anyway. The BBC did the only thing they could do in the circumstances and put all three through and yet still people complain. They can't win. I'm not saying that the BBC are completely blameless but for the most part, the blame should lie with the viewers ... or more to the point those that kept John Sargent in for so long to begin with which lets face it is still the main cause of the problems anyway. All votes cast at the weekend will roll over to next weekend and the final will start with the votes so far being broadcast for all to see ... so we will find out the exact order the three finalists are in at the start of the show. Oh and apparently anyone who wants there money back from the vote this past weekend can claim it back.
  19. I usually leave a little gap in between books myself. It's usually the following day although I do sometimes start a new book the same day I finish the previous one but I don't literally close one and open a new one - there is usually a couple of hours in between.
  20. I agree someone should have left, but if that was the case the judges marks shouldn't have counted, otherwise they ultimately would have made the decision as to who went through to the final which wouldn't really have been fair. It seems like the majority of the viewers think the right decision was made in letting all three finalists go through.
  21. I did think of that too Laura. Although I do think money is the main reason they did it, I do think it was a good idea, because otherwise the public vote wouldn't have counted anyway. Tom would have left regardless of the outcome.
