  1. One isn't very much at all though and that's probably the reason why I didn't use mine very much as it took too long to build up a decent amount to buy anything with.
  2. Hello and welcome to the board. It's been years since I read the Chronicles of Narnia, I must reread them at some point though.
  3. I never really quite got my head around the way their old loyalty card worked anyway. I mean how many points did you get per pound?

    Hi

Hi Paul, welcome to the forum.
  5. I'd recommend Melissa Hill who writes chick lit with a little bit more substance and is the queen of twists and turns. Oh and another good one would be Sarah Webb.
  6. Is that the one that was featured on Oprah?
  7. Raven you do make some excellent points. The only books that I've read that would fit into this category would be the ones by Dave Pelzer and it seems that since the success of those the market has exploded with similar books. It does seem in some respects like they're all jumping on the bandwagon, however because of the subject matter that probably isn't the best turn of phrase to use but I'm sure you know what I mean. I'm sure they are very therapeutic to write from the authors point of view or then again would they? I personally would have thought that writing about your experiences could be even more detrimental to you, but maybe not.
  8. That does sound good, so I will definitely keep an eye open for them Thanks.
  9. What kind of authors is she similar to, if any? I think I might look out for them the next time I go to the library and get one out to try.
  10. Happy Birthday. I hope you have a great day!

    Hello all =)

Hello and welcome to the board. Nice to see another chick lit fan!
  12. I've seen her books in my local library and have looked at them in the past but for some reason I've never actually picked one up to read it. What kind of style does she write in?
  13. I wont be watching, but I've just come across an article online saying that Ulrika Jonsson is reportedly getting
  14. Oooh thanks Nici. All that talk of Celebrity BB was beginning to drive me crazy.
  15. I've seen the first episode of this too (again I couldn't wait) and it's another good episode. I really hope the whole of this new season is just as good, because I have to admit I wasn't impressed with last season and think it went downhill a bit.
  16. I'm participating in the 100+ Reading Challenge and the Support Your Local Library Challenge - both of which you don't need to select your books beforehand.
  17. I've already seen the first episode as I just couldn't wait and it's a good 'un. Get the tissues ready though!
  18. Happy Birthday Kat!

  19. Sorry for the belated welcome, but welcome to the board anyway!
  20. I never used to be able to enter a bookshop without coming out with at least one book. I'm not so bad now though as I just try and keep in mind my huge TBR pile that's sitting at home waiting to be read. 2009 is going to be the year that I focus on getting it down - which means no buying books. Or at least that's the plan.
  21. The new (and final) season of ER starts on More4 in the UK on 8th January.
  22. To be honest with you I've never really been that excited about the films. Don't get me wrong I do think overall the films are quite good, but nowhere near as good as the books. I've seen all the films so far, but never at the cinema. I wait until they come out on DVD and then watch them.
  23. I decided to join but rather than go through and list all the books I've already read I'm only going to add them from now on. Feel free to friend me. Here's my profile here.
