I still annot decide what books to take but i think: Industrial magic - kelley Armstrong - as i am still reading this Haunted - Kelley Armstrong Grotesque - Natsuo Kirino Crystal Cave - Mary Stewart Peter Kay biog for OH Walk this way Aersmith biog for OH From Hell Graphic novel And some knitting books
  5. I loved them as kids and still do now the more gruesome the better. I love the imagination that goes in fairy stories the world would be a duller place with out them

  7. We have booked a week away in a beach front cottage in Wales me Oh and the crazy lurcher i am off to scale the dizzy heights of mount TBr to find some suitable reading. I have to take the Mary Stewart Crystal cave boks at the Arthur Legend has a lot of lins to Wales. I am so excited!!! I will post the list soon no doubt it will keep changing before i go
  8. Right i am back and i am up to date - i just need to get my reda on instead of my knit on!!!
  9. The reason i haven't been on here is i have been doing some of my other hobbies which are dog walking, knitting, crochet, running.
  10. I loved havingthe chronicles of narnia and the roald dahl books reda out to us at first school
  11. I love the language and words that you do not use in everyday languauge and then using them really randonly to confuse OH
  12. I read Cuban Heels in Cuba and i realy enjoyed that too
  13. When i went to Cuba i read a book based in Cuba and it was really good to see the place as i was reading about it. I do tend to take books i can leave there
  14. I will probably keep this book as it s the sort of book i like to read in bed when i have a cold and i can just enjoy without having to think too much. It is very different from his other books i have reda as it is for younger readers
  15. i would but i do tend to pick up books by differnt authors on the strength of their title or cover
  16. i voted horror, fantasy, thriller and adventure i mabe should have voted other for classics

  18. I love classics - i love the language and the stories can be fantastic. I find that i have to sit down and get used to the language etc. I do feel a bit proud of myself for reading them though and a part of me feels like i should read them too
  19. My mum just got me some lovley bookmarks from Whitby to use as bookmarks
  20. I do not think i will be going on holiday this year unless we go somewhere at the end but i like to take books which are very different from each other such as books from different genres

I love Marian Keyes and found this very sad but excellent but i have recently lost someone to cancer and although it was my step mum i did find this book really touching and emotional but really funny as well. Marian Keyes books are excellent they are very funny but often touch on real issue such as death, depression, alcoholism, drug dependancy etc

  23. Who has a list of books that they want so if they pop into the library, tesco, charity shop or bargain book shop do they keep their eyes peeled for? SO far the main ones for me are: 1. The book of lost things - John Connolly 2. The Black House - Stephen King & Peter Straub 3. The Talisman - Stephen King & Peter Straub 4. Mist over Avalon - Marion Bradley Zimmer 5. The Woman in Black - Susan Hill I get a complete thrill when i get a wisk list boo for a bargain price I carry a note book with books i want too in case i forget the authors too
  24. Books which are your guilty pleasures, what books are you embarassed about reading or which books do you put on the book on the shelves that are not in full view of everyone in your house. My guilty pleasures are: Marian Keyes - I love her books but i hate chick lit Dennis Wheatley - due to the titles of the naked ladies on the covers I will have a think for the rest
