I like the Fire Thief by Terry Deary - it makes me laugh so much!! Not sure if it's a kid's book, but I made my dad read it a few weeks ago and he liked it and laughed, too.
Yeah, Flying Solo is about when he's an adult and, among other things, it talks about when he was in he RAF. There's a really cool bit when....no, I shouldn't tell you, it'll spoil it if you ever read it....probably....whatever.
I've got a load of Rauld Dahl stories on CD, as well as most of the books...I think it's safe to say that I love them!!
Has anybody read his autobiography? It's in 2 parts; Boy, Tales Of Childhood, and Flying Solo. They're great
I usually read on my bed, but sometimes I have to read at school, and that isn't nearly as good. Oh, and I read in the bath too. Always. Or I get bored!! lol
Hello and welcome...*leaves it at that as everybody has nicked my responses.*
You'd never believe it, but I'm quite shy in real life, so it's good because you don't know anyone you can say stuff and post stories/poems/opinions without feeling embarrassed
Hi Anne! *hands chocolate welcome muffin* whenever you went up to my year three teacher (Miss Johnston) she always used to drag you round going "shaaall...weeee...dance cha-cha-cha!" God, it used to make us laugh.
I mentioned that because you wrote "shall we dance?" as your post title
I have just finished Eldest and I don't think it was nearly as good as Eragon. Although the whole political stuff was very clever, I think the explanations which became nesessary because it was so complicated took away the whole fast-moving plot which I so liked about Eragon. However, I still very much enjoyed it and I am eagerly awaiting the next one!
