  1. That's fantastic! What a great idea. Books can have a huge influence on you when you're young. I still remember the impact reading the school set books Black Like Me and The Grapes of Wrath, had on me. I hope more judges pick up on this way of dealing with mindless bigotry.

  13. I'm sorry you didn't get along with EM Forster, A Room With A View and Howard's End are amongst my favourite books, but I guess he's not for everyone. Of all his books I liked A Passage To India the least. Adela annoyed me in much the same way as Briony did in Atonement.
