 I'm ashamed to say i've never read any of Hardy's books
But the more I read on here the more I am determined to see what I've been missing.
I've just started reading this (about a third of the way through) and really enjoying it. Before joining the forum i'll admit that i wouldn't even have given this book a second glance, but now my horizons are broadening i am so glad i decided to give it a go.
For my sins i've seen 2 HP films (only cos i've got a 12 year old who loves them), but i've never read the books and don't intend to. Sorry they just do not appeal to me, likewise with horror, sci fi and some celeb auto/biogs.
Just to say I read this earlier this year and i quite enjoyed it. I loved the historical side as i found it really interesting. I would gladly pick up another Kate Mosse book in the future.
I've just finished rerading this one, and agree with the above comments. I think i was nearly half way through the book before i got really hooked and yes the ending was a surprise to me too.
The Ladykiller was my first Martina Cole novel...I loved it and have been hooked since. I've read nearly all of hers now, some are better than others but I've enjoyed them all the same.
