  1. I read these a few months ago. I really enjoyed the first two, whizzed throught them in no time but really struggled with the last one. I found it really hard to concentrate and kept losing where i was at. iIam looking forward to seeing the movie though.
  2. You don't say
  3. Kat i wish you wouldn't do this....how can i get my to read pile down when you keep giving me more and more titles to add to it!!!!!!!

  5. Just to say i am enjoying this.
  6. I have to say if it wasn't for joining this forum i would never have read this one. So glad i decided to join.
  7. I really enjoyed this one too Kat.
  8. Now myself.... I didn't get the reading bug till i was about 6 (Janet & John books bored me to tears!). The 2 books i recall getting me back into reading were The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrode and The Wind In The Willows. For the record my average reading age was 2 - 3 years above my actual age.
  9. If my memory serves me well, bearing in mind i've slept since then , you started reading in nursery school, then in the infants you decided you liked reading and from then on there was no stopping you! I think your reading age was about 3 to 3 1/2 years above your actual age. I remember you going through all the books they were using to teach your class and in the last couple of years at junior school you could pick and chose what books you read.
  10. Never mind Kell not long to wait then, soon be Xmas.
  11. Could it not just 'appear' on your book shelf? My OH thinks Kat is letting me read loads of hers at the moment
  12. Just finished Plain Truth. This is yet another one of hers i've really enjoyed.
  13. I loved those books too.
  14. Drat, bet it's not on Freeview, not that i'd be able to watch it until OH falls asleep...lol
  15. It sounds really interesting, might just have to take a look at it.
  16. I also loved this book and the film, cried buckets....lol
  17. Mmm it does sound interesting, darn it, another one to go on the to read list!
  18. I remember reading Wind in the Willows when i was in junior school (which was only (ahem) a couple of years ago! ). I loved it, and it is definately one of those books you can read over and over again.
  19. But there's no room left on your book shelf is there Kat????
  20. I don't care what anyone else says i really enjoyed this book. I found it easy to read despite how she died. There were some poignant parts like how her family coped with her death.
  21. Anything that is to hand be it a bus ticket, till receipt or scrap piece of paper.
  22. 1. Fav breakfast has to be a full monty fry up closely followed by continental. 2. Usual breakfast....mmm tea and sometimes toast (If i have time).
  23. Looking forward to reading it soon.
  24. I have to say that i am enjoying Lovely Bones, and i also enjoyed Labyrinth when i read it earlier this year. As you quite rightly said Michelle it would be boring if we all liked the same sort of things!
