I am off work until Wednesday. Have finally finished Christmas shopping and almost done baking. Tomorrow we make the trek to my sister's house

I can't wait till February!

Well, in general I liked it.....I'll admit it was hard to put down at times...but I wasn't crazy about the ending.... I did like Time Traveler's Wife more

I've watched a lot of The Walking Dead....so I think I can outlast the zombies for a good full 35 minutes

11:30 am or pm? and which time zone? Those Mayans really weren't very clear, were they? I wonder how it will end....a big flash of lightning...an explosion.....do we just fade away??

A Christmas Carol

I hope you don't mind my post, but the population is actually about 27,000. Newtown is about 20 miles west of me. Last night we (my town I mean) had a vigil on the green for the principal, Dawn Hochsprung, who is originally from Naugatuck (where I am) she was a graduate of Naugatuck High School....my daughter said they have some lovely tributes to her at the school (my daughter goes there now). Most of the teachers that died were in some way protecting the kids by either shielding them or literally trying to lunge at the shooter (as in the case of the principal and another staff member) here is our local news station....there coverage has been pretty good www.wtnh.com (hope it's ok to add the link)

finally making some progress on Her Fearful Symmetry (after being distracted for the better part of a week) am enjoying it very much so far

I make meatloaf in mine...and spaghetti sauce...I also recently made a sausage & bean soup that was really good too. I do have a ton of recipes saved that I haven't tried yet...but hope to! One thing I do want to try soon is doing baked potatoes in it....supposedly you just prick potatoes, wrap in foil, cook! I just haven't gotten around to it yet :/
