read/finished The Shining during the storm...seemed appropriate

30 inches. That's what we got. It's unbelievable. And there's nowhere to put it. My street was finally passable a couple days later, but as of yesterday many weren't. I finally made it to work today, late. We didn't lose power; actually, the amount of people that did lose power was pretty low compared to Hurricane Sandy and the freak snow storm in October 2011. If any of you are interested there's pics on FB. Oh, there's more snow predicted for Wednesday evening, a few inches I think, and Saturday night. Joy. Is it Spring yet??

There's a sequel called Ben, In the World. Good book also, though I enjoyed the first one more.

She's been on my 'want to read' list for sometime, but for some reason my library doesn't carry any of her books, nor have I come across any at book sales....not that I have noticed anyway. I'll have to make a point of looking for her books now

I've almost gotten this book several times, but something always stops me, so I'll be interested in reading your opinion. I have his 20th Century Ghosts, but haven't read it yet. I did read Heart Shaped Box, but I didn't like it much :/ Feel better and congrats on retirement!

finished Sharp Objects & The Woman in Black and started Julia by Peter Straub last night...am enjoying it so far
