I just finished watching the best match that I have seen in Beach Volleyball. The U.S. women were losing in the first set by 6 points but came back to win the set, Kerri Walsh was fabulous. In the 2nd set it was close and the Chinese had a 1 point lead when the U.S. came back to win. The Chinese were very good. Next is the finals where the U.S. play for gold.

I have no use for Marion Jones. Her whole life has been a big lie. btw, she spent 6 months in jail for a crime she did. I am a fan of women's basketball and was in attendance of several games when Marion Jones played against the UVA (University of Virginia) team several times. Even then she was arrogant and of poor moral character.

I will give him the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. Whatever, I am anxiously awaiting the movie(s). I loved the book.

I don't think it is fair to be critical of the U.S. women for choosing to wear bikini bottoms in beach volleyball. And yes, the women "choose" what to wear, it isn't mandated. The U.S. team yesterday chose to wear bikini bottoms. The Netherlands team that they played chose to wear tight fitting full length bottoms. The U.S. women seem to be comfortable in the bikini bottom. It sure hasn't hurt their performance. Over 3 Olympics, so far, they are 18 - 0 in matches and 36 - 1 in sets won. Also, watched the finals in women Heptathlon won by Jessica Ennis of GB. about half of the women wore bikini bottoms and half wore a different type bottom. It is their choice as to what they are most comfortable wearing. I wouldn't think about being critical of those that wore the bikini bottom. LOL, have you watched any of the men's track and field competition. Nothing is more revealing than what some of the men wear. However, they choose to wear the suit as they are comfortable wearing it.

Not so, what the men are wearing are totally in tune with what is popular today for men. The baggy look has been popular for a number of years now. So is the ball cap worn backward.

and what about the 15 year old from the U.S........... American teenager Katie Ledecky pulled off a stunning upset in the women's 800 meters freestyle final on Friday, ruining Rebecca Adlington's hopes of providing Britain with their first gold medal in swimming at the London Olympics. The 15-year-old Ledecky, the youngest member of the American team, gave her rivals no chance as she led all the way to snatch the gold medal in a time of eight minutes 14.63 seconds, missing the world record in the longest event for women in the pool by half a second. Beach Volleyball is an exciting Olympic event and great skill is needed to compete. As far as attire, a person must remember that it is "Beach Volleyball" and in tune with the times. If it was played in 1922 then the attire would be very different.

Probably basketball. I played basketball in High School and our team was very good. LOL, even at my old age I recently beat a couple young school kids in shooting the ball. Baseball, definitely if it was an Olympic sport. Again I played the sport in High School and also "Legion" baseball which is one step less than professional. My dream was to play professional baseball. I was good at hitting and fielding, however, I couldn't run well (actually I was probably the slowest at running than anyone in the school. Swimming would also be a choice. I have always loved the water. My GD took after me and she swam competitively and now teaches swimming (among other things) during her summer time off from College.

The U.S. swimmer Missy Franklin has won 3 golds and a bronze with still another event coming up. if not for all the attention being on michael phelps she would be the talk of the Olympics. Karsa, no one should even think about apologising for winning a silver. To be the second best in the world at any sport is just an amazing accomplishment. U.S. women play Canada in soccer. Should be good.
