  1. Yeah, mine too. Absolutely great song by Mclean and a wonderful video. My CD of Don Mclean is probably the most played of all my many CDs. Another song by Don Mclean that I really like, originally done by Roy Orbison.

  7. Thanks poppy. I heard the song on the radio today on my satellite station of songs from the 50's. It is a nice novelty song and is sung well. Ooh, Ooh, there was another song that you had listed called Lollipop, Lollipop, but it dissappeared and I can't find it now. It is alaso a good one.

  11. I think the Dark Tower was some of King's best writing.I would certainly think that writing a series and keeping the writing on a high level would be extremely difficult. Any fan of Stephen King owes it to themself to read the Dark Tower as it takes the reader through many different phases and makes one wonder where it will lead and how it will end. It was a supereb bit of writing.
  12. Tried it today. Mixed equal parts sweet red pepper relish and sour cream. Sliced a cucumber that I had picked from the garden yesterday and had the dip with the cucumber slices. My wife also tried it and and said that it was very good.
  13. I was in the grocery store yesterday on the way home from Washington, DC and bought Pepper Relish. I thought that is what was in your recipe. Oh well, I will try mixing it with sour cream
  14. I haven't read it yet, waiting on the library ro get it in Kindle format. I am looking forward to it though. I am currently reading Hogsfather, not too deep into the book yet so cannot say much about it except so far so good.
  15. The Devil Had a hold of Me - Gillian Welch
  16. I agree. I only read one of patterson's books and for some reason just was not thrilled with it. Now for Cormac McCarthy, I believe I have read all of his books and he is one of my favorite authors. I wish he would write more frequently.
  17. Cool, Cool, Water - Sons of the Pioneers
