I started reading "The Giver" by Lois Lowry last night and am already 33% thru it. So far it is more than meeting my expectations.

We give them packets of M&M's. Actually we enjoy seeing the kids all dressed up in different costumes and them yelling "Trick or Treat". Most of the kids are accompanied by their parents who wait on the street while the kids go to the doors. One of our neighbors has two little girls and the mom brought them to out door as the mom herself was dressed as a witch.

Tonight was Halloween "Trick or Treating" in our neighborhood. We had approximately 60 kids come to our door between 6:00pm and 8:00pm. All of them were very polite. One group of 3 little kids were leaving and one girl said to the others...."she was nice" (meaning my wife.

Sea of Love by Phil Phillips Poppy, I’ll bet you didn’t know that this was a swamp pop song. Ville Platte is in Cajun Country and is recognized as the Swamp Pop capitol of the world. While waiting on a few books from the library to become available I am reading "Exploring Cajun Country: A Tour of Historic Acadiana" by Chere Dastuque Coen. It is a short book and I am about 75% finished and have learned a lot and am glad I am reading it. Give it a 3.75/5.
