  1. We would get bear and deer in the back yard of our house in Virginia. some of you may remember when I was always posting photos of the bears at our bird feeder. We had them almost every day. Also would get many deer and other wildlife. We also used to see the pileated woodpecker in the woods from our back porch when we lived in Virginia. It is a large woodpecker and has a unique "call". You can hear them a long ways off.
  2. 24. Allie & Bea - Catherine Ryan Hyde - 8/10 - Thoroughly enjoying read. Type of book that makes you mad at certain things that happen in the book and you wonder how mean some people can be. And how misfortunate others can be. I wish there had been a little bit more story to the book ending. All-In-All though it was a good book. Currently reading The Butterfly Garden by Dot Hutchison. A little dark for my tastes but I am going to finish the book.

  18. As a matter of fact, no. That is a big problem. and will probably only get worse when they start re-building the damaged homes not even considering the clean-up required.

  22. The tornadoes that hit on Sunday were pretty devastating. Two elementary schools had the entire roof blown off. Good thing it was Sunday or there may have been hundreds and hundreds of kids killed. Approx. 20 homes were leveled and about 80 homes were damaged so bad they are not livable. Trees down all over, cars upended, and 20,000 people are without electricity. All schools are still closed. They are trying to make arrangements for the kids in the two elementary schools for attending elsewhere for the remainder of the school year.
  23. No, it is the season for tornadoes. In addition Michigan had 18 inches of snow and Wisconsin had 22 inches of snow. Now that is a little unusual for this time of year.
  24. Greensboro had 2 tornados hit us yesterday. A lot of damage and 1 person killed. Schools are closed today to recuperate.
