  1. Hello and welcome!

  2. I've just started reading what I think is her first book Die For Me which I picked up from Greenmet last week. Has anybody else read any of her books and what did you think? I'm not very far in yet but so far it's been quite fast paced and she seems to pick some interesting crimes. The other two I have waiting to read are Count tO Ten and Fear Nothing and I think she has another out in hardback at the minute.
  3. Did you see her putting the lipstick on the other night. Trying to make her lips look bigger. She actually put lipstick on her face, around the lips and thought she looked OK. I couldn't stop laughing. Mario told her to take it off because she looked ridiculous and I don't think that was the response she expected
  4. I would have told her to stop being such a hypocrite. Honestly, the woman riled me and I'm so glad she's gone. I'm also glad she got thrown out too, so she won't get 'her night' or any of the publicity that goes with it.
  5. Chicken Tikka Masala with rice
  6. I don't know Spooncat.... he has been on Ant and Dec
  7. I really enjoyed No Humans Involved, so much so, I would say it was my favourite so far. I like Jaime already and I think getting to know Jeremy a bit more was a great move. It's just a shame that this is the last book, as there are so many more characters that we could have read about. Does anybody know if there will ever be more Women of the Otherword books??? I'm currently reading Die for Me ~ Karen Rose I meant to pick up my Early Review from Librarything but I've misplaced it whilst decorating Doh! When a multimedia games designer decides to take his research to the next level for his new game, The Inquisitor, fantasy ends and murder begins. Called to a remote murder site Vito Ciccotelli, homicide detective is confronted with numerous bodies, all with horrific injuries, and it seems the victim of the same killer.
  8. But he has a fan club on the outside H&D!! I can't beleive he loves himself that much. And Lisa just fawns over him.... "Did you tell them about Ant and Dec??" Only about 10 times.
  9. Just catching up on the last two nights of BB. It's like a mini marathon. All the whispering and clique voting is beginning to start now
  10. I still put little business cards in all my Swaps and books that I sell. I'm not sure how much interest it has generated but every little helps and all.
  11. I get like that Michelle, it drives O's mad. The hungrier I get the less likely I am to want something. Cheese is always a winner though
  12. cheese on toast
  13. I have an allergy to strong detergents Icecream, but that brings me out in a red itchy rash, almost imediately, not a white blotchy one. (I have the same reaction to grass too) I don't know if it could be a food allergy but it doesn't sound like a skin one to me. Not much help I know, but process of elimination and all that. Hope she feels better soon.
  14. Evictions are Friday Gyre (darn it! I'm going to miss it!) I can't beleive that Alex used the term 'Your Mother' in an argument with Steph! Obviously after a tirade of swearing. But still, 'Your Mother' isn't valid in an argument..... is it?
  15. I'm not liking Alex at the minute. I watched the last two days worth today and every other word from her mouth was a profanity. She can't have a normal converstation without swearing never mind an argument. Hopefully we won't have to deal with 3 months of that. I found the whole stag/hens party very funny. I love Kathreya, she is hilarious (and bizarre! ) Couldn't stop laughing when she was talking about dignity (D-I-N-I-T-Y) she's just so lovely
  16. What a great suggestion. I never thought of reading non-fiction as I always considered them to be too 'text like'. I find it hard to keep facts and figures in my head when they are presented as a learning text, which is why I struggled with history at school. I've learnt more about historical figures and timelines through fiction than I did at A-level
  17. I'm down to my last 'Women of the Otherworld' book now. My extra special signed copy of No Humans Involved. I honestly don't think I was that impressed with Broken, I don't think there was any need to go back to Elena and Clay and to have another story. But that's not helped by the fact that they weren't my favourite characters to begin with. No Humans Involved stars necromancer Jaime Vegas. She's on a television shoot in Brentwood, Los Angeles when weird things start to happen. Invisible hands brush her arms, she sees movements out of the corner of her eye, unintelligible fragments of words are whispered in her ear. Jaime's used to seeing the dead and hearing them clearly. But now, for the first time in her life, she knows what humans mean when they say they're being haunted. Jaime is determined to get to the bottom of this, but she doesn't realize how low her investigation will take her, or what human-based horror she will uncover. As she delves through the dark underside of Los Angeles she'll need as much Otherworld help as she can get to survive unscathed. But Jeremy, the alpha-werewolf is there by her side to offer his protection. And maybe more than that!
  18. Mmmm sounds lovely Nici We're having bangers and mash with onion gravy. Got some lovely lamb and mint sausages from the butcher yesterday and I've been looking forward to it since.
  19. I would recommend Jean Plaidy and Philippa Gregory for the actual Tudor books, however, if it's just a good historical fiction book you are after, maybe try Elizabeth Chadwick or Posie Graeme-Evans.
  20. That's why I've still got my 'oddity', I figured that there can't be too many of them around
  21. No chance of me running out. I tried to lessen my TBR pile at the start of the year and all I did was quickly replace the ones I had read. It still stands at a shocking 90 (ish).
  22. They weren't a great selection this time. Although the USA ones didn't look so great either, so I don't think we are missing out this time.
  23. Pasta in cheese sauce for me
  24. Hmmm, might have that for brekkie tomorrow Mine is on the way.... delivery guy should be here soon. Yummy pizza.
