  1. Happy Birthday!!!!

  2. Series 5 episode one - the first 3 mins of this early killed me!!!!
  3. I use Utorrent to get them, they're normally all on there.
  4. I went with Keeping The Dead ~ Tess Gerritsen as my mum kindly left it for me when she finished it. I can't say I enjoyed this one as much as the others but I'm unsure as to why. I just seem to get a bit bored towards the end. It felt a bit more like a filler book than part of a series, besides the main plot, there wasn't much development of Maura or Jane. A bit disappointed although it hasn't put me off altogether.
  5. I have this one to be read. I'm a sucker for anything to do with Rebecca!
  6. Series 4 is on Living TV and series 5 I've downloaded to my laptop to watch. Living show a lot of the prvious season re-runs also.
  7. Love love love Rebecca! My favourite ever story. If you want a follow on try Rebecca's Tale by Sally Beauman (not sure if I've mentioned it already on here.)
  8. I'm taking a bat with me.... just in case.
  9. I watched the last episode of Series 4 on Saturday and have been busy gathering series 5 for watching. I'm all excited about watching it as I'd forgotten the new series had started.
  10. Beef I was quite taken in by this but I was a bit put off by all the Dr Who/Casualty/Bonekickers people that were in it. The virus did take hold too fast and they all managed to meet up pretty fast as well. Still good viewing (although I was reading at the same time)
  11. Another brilliant book by Jodi Picoult, despite the fact that I spotted a lot of the important bits well before they were revealed. It might just be that I am used to her writing style by now, although it didn't detract from the enjoyment of the book at all. Now... to my bookshelf for my next treat
  12. Series 5 you say??? Yay...... happy dance happy dance! They're only just showing series for here so I will be off to acquire it from the far off cyber space.
  13. Chinese!! The joys of driving
  14. Thanks for that Nici, I may sneak off to the bedroom to watch as O's is playing the XBox :D

  15. Now I'm reading Second Glance by Jodi Picoult as it was the first one I came to on my bookshelf. Do we love across time? Or in spite of it? A developer has slated an ancient Abenaki Indian burial ground for a strip mall, and now strange happenings have tiny Comtosook, Vermont, talking of supernatural forces at work. Ross Wakeman is a ghost hunter who's never seen a ghost-all he's searching for is something to end the pain of losing his fiance Aimee in a car accident. He tried suicide-any number of times. Now Ross lives only for a way to connect with Aimee from beyond. Searching the site for signs of the paranormal, Ross meets the mysterious Lia, who sparks him to life for the first time in years. But the discoveries that await Ross are beyond anything he could dream of in this world-or the next. Expertly entwining a powerful drama of the heart's redemption and the disturbing real-life history of the VT eugenics project of the 1930s, Second Glance asks if truth is always something that can be measured… and if what can be measured is indeed always true.
  16. I've finished this book today and despite being an interesting read I can't help but feel disappointed in the ending. I'm not sure how else it could have ended but it just didn't feel right to me. It also seemed to go off on a tangent right at the most interesting parts.
  17. I finished Helpless and left my thoughts in the appropriate thread. I've now moved onto another bookring (they're coming in thick and fast and I've no idea who keeps putting my name down for them ) Onto The End of Mr Y ~ Scarlett Thomas When Ariel Manto uncovers a copy of The End of Mr. Y in a second-hand bookshop, she can't believe her eyes. She knows enough about its author, the outlandish Victorian scientist Thomas Lumas, to know that copies are exceedingly rare. And, some say, cursed. With Mr. Y under her arm, Ariel finds herself thrust into a thrilling adventure of love, sex, death and time-travel.
  18. Chicken and veg soup simmering on the hob right now.... smells delish
  19. Currently eating Fruit-tellas. Wonder what O's is going to cook when he gets home
  20. I love all of the classics such as The Narnia Collection and Lewis Carroll. When I was younger, I also read the Flambards and some Enid Blyton. Childrens books are so much nicer now than they ever were. I'm drawn in by them in Waterstones and can't help walking around and touching them all. So pretty! My absolute favourites recently have been the Bartemaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud and also The Eragon Trilogy by Christoper Paolini. (Don't get put off by the abysmal film of this one - the book is a million times more than they could ever include in an hour on film)
  21. I've been trying to ignore this book since it came out as I have soooo many others to read at the moment but it sounds too good. I love Pratchett and whilst I admit, some books are better than others, I still love them. I've been trying to read the Discworld novels in some kind of order (difficult, I know) but seen as this one is a stand alone novel, maybe I can bump it up to the top of my list.
  22. I haven't seen it but I just looked it up and laughed! Still sticking to the Merlot though
  23. It definately can't be found in my freezer lol
  24. Pasta with one of O's homemade tomato sauces
  25. Has to be Ben and Jerry's Half Baked (Cookie Dough and Chocolate Brownie all in one)
