    Hi Kelly
  3. Me neither! This has to be my favourite series (*shove* Sorry, Harry Potter ) and I've read the second one goodness knows how many times. Which one's your favourite?
  4. Cornish pasty
  5. I was laughing my head off at the one where they had this 42-year-old mother who was dancing to Britney's Toxic, I've never seen such canny dancing on the television (well, apart from the X Factor auditions)! And plus, I think that everyone was like 'ooooh' on the one where they had this lady who was in all sorts of different positions- it looked so painful!
  6. Ooh, I love Futurama! My music teacher showed us this earlier in Year 8, we all loved it. I also love the Simpsons. They're great!
  7. Grrr! I keep forgetting to post on this thread, so here we are. Reading: Waves by Sharon Dogar Excellent book- I don't want it to end! To be read: The Window and the King- John Dickinson Then He Ate My Boy Entrancers by Louise Rennison On The Seas To Troy by Caroline B. Cooney Warrior Cats: The Darkest Hour by Erin Hunter And on Wednesday we visited St Micahel's Mount. I got English Castles: A Photographic History by Rodney Castledon. Hiya!

    Hello and to the forum!
  12. Hello Alligator!
  13. I love Harry Potter and I think they're great, but I must say there are one or two other series out there that could do with as much attention. Unfortunately, some fantastic series tend to go unnoticed and don't make megabucks like HP did and still does, which I think is a shame.
  14. Rating: 9.5/10 Awards? Won the 2005 Gold Medal Nestle Book Prize Set during the Commonwealth period in England's history, just after the excecution of Charles I, Coriander's world is turned upside down when her mother dies and her father meets another widow called Maud. Maud's daughter is used as a sort of punch bug for Maud, who Coriander hates, especially as Maud is so driven by her following of God that it's turned her nasty and vile. When Coriander's father tells her in private that there is a warrant for his arrest for trying to free Charles I, he leaves before the arrest which leaves Coriander on her own. The only two people she can rely on now are her stepsister and Danes, her beloved and trustworthy maid. Slowly but surely, Coriander changes the household from a bright, fun place to a drab, God-fearing miserable place. Coriander feels depressed, and when her stepsister goes missing, she discovers a totally different world... This is a beautifully-told story that so deservingly won its award. It's a must for those interested in the dark times of Oliver Cromwell, blending fantasy with fact. Highly reccommended.
  15. Last year I wasn't as into it as series 1 and 2, but this series looks like a good one. I love Catherine Tate- so funny! And my brother liked those Adipose, or whatever they're called, the aliens that were made of living fat after taking the tablets. I can't wait until Saturday- that one looks good when they're in Pompeii!
  16. There's a new seires of My Family that's on tomorrow at 9. Yay!
  17. I'd love to see The Other Boleyn Girl, however I'm far too young apparently, as I'm only 12 so I have to wait. That's a shame, cos the Tudor era-I love it.
  18. Today I got Adele's album, 19. Brilliant!
  19. They've got a Nancy (Samantha) who has the same name as me, she looks like me and she's not much older than me. Coincidence? I don't like Denise, either. Plus, I used to hate Graham Norton, but ever since I watched a couple of Father Teds with him in them, I've liked him!
  20. Hi Nox
  21. I love Graham Norton on this show! Amy... I wasn't sure what I thought of her, but yes I preferred her to Francesca- Fran has too much of a 'strong' voice to be a Nancy.
  22. Ingredients 50g butter 60g plain flour 2 eggs 125g plain chocolate Small carton whipping cream How to 1. Chop the butter into small pieces, and put in a pan with 125ml water, Melt, and then take off the heat and leave to cool. 2. Sieve the flour into a bowl, and then into the pan and mix until smooth and pastry-like and starts to move from the sides of the pan. 3. Beat the eggs well, and add a little bit of egg at a time to make a glossy mixture. You may not need to add all of the eggs or your pastry will go runny. Mix until thickened and pastry-like. 4. Put the pastry in small, smooth dollops on a greased cooking tray until it's all gone. To prevent burning, make sure there are no spikes on the top. Cook in the oven for about 20 minutes, when they are golden and crunchy. Take out and put on a cooling rack, and with a knife make a tube to let the steam out. 5. Gently blend the cream in a bowl until just thickened, but don't overdo it. When the pastry is cool, put an amount of cream inside until it's all gone. 6. Lastly, make the chocolate sauce. Fill a saucepan with water, and break your chocolate into a small bowl with 2 tbsp water. Boil the pan water, and melt the chocolate over the top. Careful not to seeze (SP?) 7. Lastly, simply just dribble the chocolate over the top of the profiteroles and enjoy.
  23. Scotch egg and chips, followed by some profiteroles I made at school. Yum.
