  1. Happy birthday, hope you're having a lovely day.:5birthday:

  2. I looked it up, Androgynist!
  3. My favourite was The cloning of Joanna May, I must add DO NOT read any Fay Weldon if your partner is currently in your bad books. You might find his imperfections magnified a hundred fold!
  4. Cornflakes, I just wasn't in the mood.
  5. yes Muggle, cranesbill geranium is the wildflower, but it's very good as a groundcover plant, takes a lot of abuse and doesn't need much water. I like the blue one best, but have inherited a pink one!
  6. Lamb and apricot tagine with plenty of couscous. Loads left over, so I'll take some to work tomorrow.
  7. I am the same age as Donny Osmond, Madonna,Michael Jackson & I'll think of some more later!
  8. Yes it was a great day, I'm knackered!

  9. http://www.morsbags.com/ Have a look at this site, you'll learn a lot, and probably be inspired.
  10. I'll be watching today, I was at work so recorded it on V+ along with Lark rise, The Curse of Steptoe & Son and I've still got Al Murray's Happy hour and The Friday night project to catch up on!
  11. Well I saw that episode twice this week, got all excited about seeing the next one last night and.....fell asleep!
  12. I love it,wish we had a bit more of that here. It seems sometimes as if our holidays are being slowly eroded away just to become more shopping days at DIY stores or Garden centres.
  13. or failing that,:devcat:but my son would definitely be a wolf probably called Shino, after his friend's dog.
  14. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll see what's in the Library. (Must do some real work now, quiet day, no boss )
  15. I enjoyed 'My sister's Keeper' but hated the end, so did my daughters. It does give people something to discuss though. I'll have to try another Picoult book as that's the only one I've read, any recommendation's?
  16. The book has to draw me into the story, the outside world will fade out and if people try interrupting, I will not be listening. Whatever the size of the book, when I get to the end I'll be left with a sense of "is that it? I want more." prolific writer's do well out of me, I'm so excited when the next book comes out.
  17. The OH wants me to make one, as he's rather addicted to marzipan. I'm working this weekend so it's no, also he's diabetic so definitely no,no,no!
  18. Icecream, it's basically a big feast marking the end of lent and the resurrection. At least that's what i was taught at school. Simnel cake anyone?
  19. So, has he? And how does one miss something on the front cover for goodness sake? It's that pesky Dan Brown's fault, or Gordon, take your pick:kiss:
  20. I think Kell's the champion of books on the go, she's never without a book. I tend to read several reference books together for whatever my current interest is, but I get my storylines confused if I do that with fiction.
  21. I found one that bugs me daily as it's on the front cover of 'Gardening & planting by the Moon 2008' It's by Nick Kollerstrom, described on the cover as BBC's Lunar Gardening Corespondant. Has he been a naughty boy then?
  22. Michelle once lent my son an autographed book to read, he was so terrified, I had to read it for him! No, Michelle's not that scary it's just Jason. If you lent someone a dress, they wouldn't calmly return it ripped and filthy would they? Why should it be different with anything else?
  23. Lunch at lakeside today, with the girls I had a lurvely baked potato with chicken tikka filling, yum!
