  1. Making Your Mind Up was pure chick lit - and I really enjoyed it! Will start Not That Kind of Girl tonight by Catherine Alliott
  2. I can't wait for this to come out. It's been in my wishlist for at least 2 months.
  3. Next time I go to the library I am intending to get another book by her! The blurb on some of them was quite good. Now I'm just starting Making Your Mind Up by Gill Mansell
  4. Really enjoyed Unicorn's Blood. This book really caught the essence of the Elizabethan era. Will definately read more of her books
  5. It is very rare that I get rid of my books and they are nearly all reread albeit some more than others. Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre and Jude the Obscure have been reread so many times I've lost count, LOL Philippa Gregory, Jean Plaidy, and Thomas Hardy are definate rereads
  6. Started a book by a new author to me - Patricia Finney - Unicorn's Blood. I t set in the Tudor Court of Elizabeth. Nearly half way through and it is fairly good
  7. Finished The Oxford Murders. Not too bad a read, I had guessed correctly the main murderer. but the second murderer was a little bit of a surprise. This is not a book that has great depth, but the maths theories and ideas of logic need a leap of understanding when reading if you are tired!! LOL
  8. Finished Gardens of Delight - a light hearted read which picked up when the gorgeous Italian came on the scene! Will start The Oxford Murders tonight by Guillermo Martinez
  9. I'm reading that one at the moment! Just over half way - it's not really gripping me at the moment
  10. Still only half way through The Gardens of Delight! Trouble is every time I've attempted to read, Only Fools on Horses came on - absolutely no chance. Now beginning to 'catch up' now that it's finished
  11. Jane Austen's house looks great - I want to go!! Tiger also has said she'd like to see it
  12. Finished Never Too Late - true Cathy Kelly! A lovely light-hearted read! I can't wait to get her new one. Just starting Erica James - Gardens of Delight
  13. Wideacre is a brilliant read. The sequels are on my TBR pile to be reread. I last read these about 20 yrs ago and still love them now
  14. Monkeycatcher - enjoy Pride and Prejudice. I've read this one so many times and is a very firm favourite of mine
  15. Finally settled on Cathy Kelly - Never too late
  16. Finished Tara Road. A nice easy read - very classic Binchy! (situation at work won't resolve until at least October. :grr: ) Will decide on tonites book later
  17. Still only half way though Tara Road! I keep falling asleep as I'm not sleeping properly at the moment (stress out due to work)
  18. We've started to use ours alot - especially since Tiger and I have joined here!!! LOL. As a result the boys have started to take out books
  19. I have a copy of Fingersmith up for sale if you're interested! It is in very good condition with a crease down the spine and has only been read once
  20. I think that this book is definately her best so far
  21. Finished Playing Away - quite alot of spice! Now on Maeve Binchy - Tara Road
  22. Finished The Wives of Bath - it was brilliant!! I forgot just how much we struggled juggling it all when the kids were babies Moved onto Playing Away by Adele Parks. Promises to be a spicy little number
  23. Read The last Pleasure Garden, it was OK, but not the best that I've read. Also received yet another book - Sophie Kinsella's The Undomestic Goddess Staeted The Wives of Bath toadayby Wendy Holden. It's good so far - I'd forgotten just how hard those first days and weeks of parenthood are
  24. I hope that you enjoy them as well!! Your poor Dad normally carries all the books that we take out and return Still at least he's reading now
  25. OMG!! Why am I laughing at the horror of finding half a lamb intact??? As a child in Hastings, we always used to buy our fish as the boats were landing, so preparing a fish doesn't bother me - but my husband has to leave the room LOL I couldn't put a crab or lobster into the water though - I draw the line there!
