  5. I seem to have been very slow this last book (and month) due to tiredness and too many painkillers (for my back) spacing me out especially in the evenings. Finally finished Soulmates. Moving onto Michele Giuttari - A Florentine Death
  6. C. J. Sansom's Shardlake series is set in the 16th century - can't recommend them enough!
  7. I'll look forward to Fractured , as the first book was good
  8. Jules for some reason I didn't enjoy Indelible one as much as her others. I just couldn't connect with it.
  9. Started Miranda Glover - Soulmates last night. So far very readable
  10. Jules - the village is lovly. Did you get there by the steam train? Last time we went on that, it was being filmed for the Harry Potter film! As the Hogwarts express (an ariel shot)
  11. Nearby Dover Castle - numerous films, documentaries, live ghost hunting................. Burley's Inspector Wycliffe novels - so many places throughout Cornwall, pubs that we have drunk in. Watched some filming of Heartbeat in Whitby, drank in their pub at Goathland. Today, Tiger was watching the zoo series ROAR being filmed at Howletts with presenter Matt.

  17. Just finished Change of Heart. This is my 12th Jodi Picoult book and as always I really enjoyed it. This one, like so many of her themes, takes a controversial idea and examines it from all angles. I would recommend this to Picoult fans.

  21. I liked the new Nicci French - upto her usual high standard! Now reading Jodi Picoult's new book - Change of Heart
  22. I usually manage doze with a book most nights. Not because of the book but because I'm so tired after a day at work.
  23. I've read 32 so far this year
  24. Finished the Kate Long book - started off very well, but I think that it lost it's way towards the end/ Not as good as The Bad Mother's Handbook IMHO Moving onto Nicci French - Until It's Over
  25. We have used our bread maker for years - less so recently though. I seem to have got out of the habit. I love making my own by hand though - it is so satisfying - I've done a fair bit of that this year, however it never seems to last, LOL!
