This one is on mount TBR - sounds like I will have to tackle it whilst on holiday when I'm not so tired!!
-
It is but it shouldn't make too much difference if you overlook the jump in who is Queen!!!!
-
C J Sansom is one of my all time favourites. These books give an excellent insight into how life may have been at that time. I've read all of them, Disslution, Dark Fire, Revelation and the latest Sovereign. Can't wait for the next one

Beautiful People was a very pleasant read.
Anne Bronte - Agnes Grey

I liked it alot and couldn't put it done, although my favourite one so far is the Rosary Girls. I have Fallen Angels out from the library so that will be in the next week or so

Oh definately. I think the scene has been set for the next book with the ex- spymaster conspiring with Swaddell. I look forward to the next!!

Just starting Wendy Holden - Beautiful People

Finished The Westminster Poisoner - a very good read

Funny enough we were saying that she looked as if she had a problem all along and not just stage-fright. Just something we couldn't put our finger on. DH was convinced from the start
-
Most definitely: Julian Smith - Saxophonist
I totally agree there! I'm very pleased that he made it to 3rd place, but I really wish that he won. hopefully he will get a break - he deserves it
Diversity did well though - but not my choice
-
I'm a spy in 1663 Restoration London, trying to find out who is poisoning people
-
I've read all of Jodi's books and I found that this was probably one of her best! Very, very hard to put down!
-
Just back from holiday during which I read:-
Jean Plaidy - The Queen's Husband
Jodi Picoult - Handle with Care
Richard Montonari - Play Dead
Now half way through - Susanna Gregory - The Westminster Poisoner
-
Oh Louise - you read far more than me on holiday!! Have you read the other books by James Mc Gee? I think that they are very good
I'm also reading The Westminster Poisoner at the moment!
-
we go on holiday on Friday and tomorrow is the only day that I can get to the library. I shall just count request and get it back so that I can finish it
-
I had to abandon the Cadfael book as some-one has requested it at the library and it must go back tomorrow
. This is the first time it's happened to me and I'm so annoyed
Jean Plaidy - The Queen's Husband
-
Not sure what I made of that one - bit strange
Peter Ellis - An Excellent Mystery
-
I think I would like to be stuck with Thomas Hardy, Charles Dickens, David Starkey, Jean Plaidy, Philippa Gregory, to mention a few
-
If it's by one of my favourite authors then there are no checks!! Anyone else gets the full check - title, front picture, the back blurb, side panel blurb, then I check the style of writing, ramdom reading of paragraphs of several pages and then the price.
-
Ooh I can't wait to start this one - it's packed in the suitcase for the end of next week when we go away!!
