  1. I'm looking forward to this having read part one last year, so thanks for this.
  2. I saw the film and it took me a while to realise that it was a vampire story. It's very good.
  3. There are 6 books in the series altogether.
  4. Currently reading : The Full Moon Yearbook, Julie Peters. A factual account of the moon in every month. Only read one chapter so far and it's fascinating. Wolf Blood, Steve Morris. A fictional account of a werewolf apocalypse, as recommended by my friend (“read A Witch In Time, now!”) who knows nothing of the current Group Reading theme. Thoroughly enjoying this too.
  5. I have sooooooo many in this category that I want to read, not all of them are horror!
  6. Currently reading Wolf Blood by Steve Morris, it's about werewolves and there are 6 books in the series altogether. Only on chapter 4 so far but it's great and a friend of mine has read all 6 of them and loved them.
  7. I’d just like to point out that just because Hux doesn’t like it doesn’t mean that you won’t. Nor does it mean that it’s a bad book, it simply means that Hux doesn’t like it
  8. Currently reading The Silence Factory, Bridget Collins. Crikey, Andre Agassi's biography Open took a very long time to read!
  9. Thank you Madeleine and Poppy. I feel fortunate that I’m getting some sleep and can actually breathe properly, my brother can’t (sleep or breathe). We are leaving our father in bed because he looks very frail out of it - he has constant access to bottled water for hydration.
  10. Our weather has grown warm too. All of us have the cold. It's a bad one too. My father has taken to his bed, my brother was sent home from work and can't go in tomorrow and I have a cough that is impressing me! Neither of us can be bothered doing anything as we are all exhausted.
  11. Just finished the second of two bonus short reads in this copy, they are : One For the Road and Jerusalem's Lot. The man is a great story teller! There are deleted scenes at the back of the book but I'm not sure that I want to read them. I'll take the rest of the day to decide.
  12. 'Salem's Lot, Stephen King. Absolutely marvellous. And what a pleasure reading a paper book!
  13. Hello and welcome to the Forum!
  14. I must say that I'm enjoying my trip down memory lane. It's been a long time since I : read a paper book and read Stephen King. Currently doing both and since 'Salem's Lot is an early work it's taking me back to a time when there were only paper books, no internet and no mobile phones. My copy even has light damage! It's all about the sensory experience, in my humble opinion. I reckon that it'll make the scary bits even more scary.
  15. Which is putting it mildly. Everyone is entitled to their opinion - on this forum or off it - without being called names.
  16. I'm the same but I also have e-books that I want to re-read
  17. Mine is as out of control as my TBR!
  18. I'm enjoying it so far. Welcome by the way
  19. It's been a while since I read any Stephen King but I'm enjoying it so far. Saw the film (1979!) and it scared me stiff!
  20. Currently reading 'Salem's Lot, Stephen King
  21. Currently reading 'Salem's Lot, Stephen King
  22. Thanks to the friend who recommended A Witch in Time by Constance Sayers to me ("read this now!" is how she put it, and I did) and her fascination with vampires I thought that I'd read Salem's Lot by Stephen King for my next read in this category (quickly turning into my favourite so far). Not read King in a while and I remember the film, which looking back on it I was too young to watch, starring David Soul. My best friend at the time wanted to see it because of Soul and I'm pretty sure her parents would not allow her to watch it in their home - in those days there was no video recording or Sky TV, you had to sit and watch as it broadcast - and they were right, it scared the livin' daylights out of the both of us. Which did not stop us watching it again, I'm sure.
  23. I'm interested in the colour Kindle and will look at it when it comes. It doesn't hold me back because I have the app on my tablet and MP3 player, both of which are in colour.
