  1. I like the cover of We Should Hang Out Sometime! And I'm so glad you found that book! What's it about?
  2. I'm so glad you liked The Girl With All the Gifts! I've been waiting to find out your feelings . I loved the end!
  3. You might like When Paris Went Dark by Ronald C Rosbottom. I loved it, one of my favorites of the year
  4. I couldn't read the review because, coincidentally, I downloaded the sample of Running With Scissors today! Is it totally traumatizing though? I dropped Room for the same reason, it seemed too depressing! I'm so happy you captured a reader he he.
  5. . That's awesome!
  6. I want to read Rutherford's Russka, I hope to get to it sometime this year. I hear Sarum, about London is really good. I knew you liked New York, so bad you didn't have the same experience with Paris. Also disappointing as his books are so long!
  7. I like Jim Carrey in serious roles, I loved Man on the Moon. He should have won an Oscar for it.
  8. After giving up digital cable for a ridiculous price, we found a channel showing a whole hour a night of M*A*S*H. Woohoo! It's a tie between Northern Exposure, but I can probably say it's my favorite TV show. Also, on the same channel, we've been watching The Andy Griffith Show, Gunsmoke and The Rifleman. I've never seen any of these, but my mom used to watch them with her dad and I get a good laugh
  9. Did the new books come today?
  10. Just wanted to say hi *waves* I hope you feel better soon
  11. Thanks for City... *runs to Kindle for sample*
  12. I've always wanted to see that!
  13. I will be at least reading Grunt by Mary Roach and I hope to get back to The Girl in the Blue Coat. I'll join you on the 10th, 11th, 12th.
  14. Yeah for new books!
  15. I too like Barbara Kingsolver. I really liked both books. Pigs in Heaven is the sequel to The Bean Trees. I hope to get to Prodigal Summer this year. Animal Dreams is good too. I really liked The Poison Bible, yes, quite different books!
  16. How on Earth can you read so many books? Lol I'm totally jealous . Love your signature, btw! I took Raven's suggestion from the science fiction thread and downloaded the sample of the first book by Iain M Banks. Also samples of Storm Clouds Rolling In (historical fiction, there are NINE books!) By Ginny Dye And The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Steadman. I'm planning on purchasing Storm Clouds Rolling In and The Little House on the Prairie omnibus. The Little House omnibus only includes 5 of the 9 in the series though, disappointing.
  17. Ha ha we watched an old episode of the first Star Trek. Hilarious! But Spock did have a large tablet computer and used a stylus!
  18. Yummy! Today we went out during a random rain spurt, we bought some shoes, I got some bracelets and earnings and a Father's Day card for my dad.
  19. The missing book would drive me crazy!
  20. If you like aliens and science fiction, yes! it's good and I think it might be older YA. It's a trilogy though.
  21. Yeah! You finished! I'm so glad that's over lol
  22. Jeopardy is doing Celebrities this week and one question had to do with Louis L'amour and which genre he wrote (you know how they are easy for celebrities) and Louis CK said pulp fiction lol
  23. I've started on Star Trek: Next Generation... I've seen the later ones, but the first season, before they had funds, is hilarious! I actually saw Worf take an elevator with no doors to the control room . And I just found out Michael Dorn has no hair . Can't beat Patrick Stewart as Jean- luc though *heart beats rapid*
  24. That sounds fun and relaxing! Is the cabin near by? Sometimes, it takes just a little way for a vacation As an Amazon Prime member, I am entitled to a free prerelease from their Editors list each month, and I picked The Butterfly Garden by Dot Hutchinson, which I've been eyeing...so excited about that. I've also lost 10 pounds in 7 days so woohoo! Oh- and 20 days left of school!!
