Welcome, I'm a HUGE fan of Philip K Dick! What are some of your favorites? Have you read any Ayn Rand?

I've also yet to read Peony in Love by Lisa See, it's set in 17th century China. Oh! How could I forget A Concubine for the Family by Amy Kwei and Arching for Beauty by Wang Ping, both are about footbinding. Both are good- but the process is a tad disturbing

Pearl S Buck has a Pulitzer prize for her trilogy, The Good Earth (I own 10 of her books!) and another book, Wild Swans by Jung Chang is awesome. Good luck, have fun Edit: I hope to get to Tea on the Great Wall by Patricia Luce Chapman this year.

Thanks and enjoy Major Pettigrew's Last Stand Today, cleaning up my house, I was admiring my Clive Barker shelf and *gasp* actually pulled out some paper books I haven't read before, The Inhuman Condition, The Damnation Game and Cabal. Very excited! I also pulled out my signed copy of his one act plays, called Forms of Heaven out. Oh! And his business card fell out . If only my puppy hadn't ate the cover...

Cranberry juice and vodka is a Cosmopolitan Gin with tonic water and lime is a gin and tonic "with a twist". I usually drink Martinis when I feel in the mood, with vodka instead of gin... but they have to be really "dirty" (with green olive juice). On the East coast, they serve them with ice. It's much better!

If you make it with vodka, it's a Greyhound

Diet Coke. I'm not even sure they sell Pepsi Max Cherry here!
