  1. That was my nomination too! Poppy is pretty graphic normally, but EC really does it up good.
  2. I finished The Bloodletters Daughter by Linda Lafferty (good, 3/5) and started Black Hawk Down by Mark Bowden.
  3. You must simply try Lorca's Bloodletting (Spain). His bio is interesting too.
  4. Lionsgate just announced Allegiant will be two movies http://herocomplex.latimes.com/movies/allegiant-the-finale-to-divergent-will-be-split-into-two-films/#/0
  5. Also a different sort of book for India would be Behind the Beautiful Forevers, about the slums around Mumbai and life in them. Fascinating. By Katherine Boo. One of my favorite books- or at least one that has made a major impression.
  6. Animal Dreams by Barbara Kingslover its YA but an older YA read about Arizona and deals with some Native American legends. Check out the sample, you might like it.
  7. Finished Water for Elephants. Started The Bloodletters Daughter by Linda Lafferty. It's pretty graphic and I'm not sure where it is going or what is going to happen. I know little about it but the sample sold me. It's a strange book so far.
  8. Plus, its a quick read.
  9. I read all of Bad Luck and Trouble by Lee Child, 386 pages in 3 days. I didn't keep track of how long I read though! I've started a new habit- once I wake up, I read for a few hours. So, I'll have to keep track for the next read a thon!
  10. I just finished what I thought was Jack Reacher 10, but was actually 11. So, I finished Bad Luck and Trouble last night and started on Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. Liking it a lot so far, but also finding it similar to The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disapeared... which is a little disappointing, as I've been wanting to read it for some time. I'm wondering about this book- I tried the sample and it didn't hook me. Will probably take it up again. The year is still young lol That actually sounds really interesting!
  11. Memoirs of a Geisha- Arthur Golden
  12. The Kite Runner- Khaled Hosseini
  13. Just finished The Hard Way (Jack Reacher No 10) by Lee Child. It did not disappoint! I was reading Plains of Passage by Jean M Auel with it, so I still have that. And I got my copy of BBC History Magazine as well.
  14. Read the sample to The Plains of Passage by Jean M Auel. Even the sample was long! I'm not sure I'm up to such a long book right now so I'm going for a nice 500 pg Jack Reacher book, 10th in the series. I've read all 10 and they never disappoint! I will take up Plains of Passage after Reacher though.
  15. Finished The Mammoth Hunters By Jean M Auel. A hefty 720 pages. I was thinking about reading the next book, but it's 850 pages! I'm not ready for another 800 pages. I'm not sure what's next.
  16. Just back from seeing Divergent. Not sure what I think yet. One person I went with liked it a lot, one just liked it.
  17. Finished Valley of the Horses (Jean M Auel) and decided to continue with The Mammoth Hunters. At 750 pages, I might start something else in awhile to read with it.
  18. After a number of 5/5 books I've read this month, I'm kind of out of breath. I don't know what to get into next! Just started Valley of the Horses by Jean M Auel, nothing special lol I mean, not a page turner, just a casual read. I think after Feb and March's (so far) read list, I should take a breather.
  19. loved that film
  20. Sounds like it lol
  21. We're going to see Divergent in IMAX on Thursday- the day before it comes out- I can hardly wait!
  22. Just casually reading Valley of the Horses by Jean M Auel. Not really a page turner, but just a casual read.
  23. I know! I have no idea what to read after Valley Of The Horses but that will take me a few days. Thinking about giving Life After Life another try after all the chat around here.
