  1. Rush hour - Jane Wiedlin
  2. Episode 2 was even better!
  3. I loved Episode 1, and I'll have a binge watching with the other 3 this weekend
  4. Finally finished reading Peter Buntz' Cogheart. A children's adventure/thriller, with a great lot of steampunk, sinister human & mechanical hybrids.
  5. Re-watching The Mandolorian (S1 E1) on Disney+. Hoping that The Book of Boba Fett is as good as The Mandolorian. Boba Fett starting streaming on Disney+ on December 29th 2021.
  6. How soon is now - The Smiths
  7. Yay for AMONGST OUR WEAPONS šŸ‘šŸ˜ And the YT vid was awesome too!!
  8. 70% listened Ben Aaronovitch’s False Value (Rivers of London #8), though this book has been the least interesting of the series, so far.
  9. I plan to read some tree-books manga, starting with the last two 19 & 20# of The Promises Neverland. Enjoy reading this weekend everyone šŸ™‚
  10. My favourites are The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck Any of the John Steinbeck novels, especially Cannery Row.
  11. Have read/listened 40 books, so far, though my Goodreads challenge of 90 is waaay behind for 2021. Thankfully, I have really enjoyed most of these books, and only one of them has been a dull reading & was a disappointment (Genevieve Cogman’s The Masked City #2 of the Invisible Library series). Three audiobooks on the go now False Value - Ben Aaronovitch Old Baggage - Lissa Evans The Man Who Died Twice - Richard Osman and all are enjoyable
  12. UK Kindle daily deals includes The Unwomanly Face of War (Penguin Modern Classics) by Svetlana Alexievich. An oral history of women in Europe & Russia in the World War 2. For 99p.
  13. I've just pre-ordered the Audible version of RoL #9
  14. Reading mojo is lacking atm, so it’s hello to audiobooks - Rivers of London #8 False Value 26% listened, and I’m loving it. Another E-library audio I’m re-listening is Crooked Heart by Lissa Evans; another good story. Just 1 more hour to go!
  15. Though April seems a long way to wait!
  16. What are you reading in November? Working my way through Peter Bunzl’s Cogheart - 68% so far.
  17. Finished Alice Oseman’s Loveless. Enjoyable, even that it was an YA novel (not my scene mostly). From the blurb from Amazon Georgia has never been in love, never kissed anyone, never even had a crush – but as a fanfic-obsessed romantic she’s sure she’ll find her person one day. As she starts university with her best friends, Pip and Jason, in a whole new town far from home, Georgia’s ready to find romance, and with her outgoing roommate on her side and a place in the Shakespeare Society, her ā€˜teenage dream’ is in sight. But when her romance plan wreaks havoc amongst her friends, Georgia ends up in her own comedy of errors, and she starts to question why love seems so easy for other people but not for her. I have edited some of the blurb, as I thought that it did spoilt some of the details of the book. Great for lots of characters in the LGBTQ+ community. 5 out of 6.
  18. I loved the 1st Frey & McFrey series, and I’m looking forward to the rest, especially I’m now on the last of the Rivers of London. šŸ™‚
  19. Listening to Ben Aaronovitch False Value (Rivers of London #8) and Alice Oseman Loveless. *Raises one eyebrow* Tut tut, Raven.
  20. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: 42nd Anniversary Edition Kindle Edition by Douglas Adams is 99p today.
  21. Hi Neil I would recommend Staying On by Paul Scott. This is a post-colonial sequel to Scott’s epic series The Raj Quartet/The Jewel in the Crown. Tusker & Lucy Smalley stayed on in India, after Tuskerk’s retirement as Colonel in the British Army.
  22. Yikes, haven’t been in my blog since July! Reading mojo is quite good, mostly reading manga or hearing audiobooks. Starting Audible today are Ben Aaronovitch’s False Values (Rivers of London #8) and Richard Osman’s The Man Who Died Twice (The Thursday Murder Club #2).
  23. Me also, Hayley. Though the miserable weather forecast for Saturday means it will be great time to read, eat biscuits and hunker down with blankets in an armchair.
  24. I finished Oscar de Muriel’s The Strings of Murder Audible. Enjoyable story, but the narration was hard work, and just a little too theatrical. Thankfully, following series I have bought Kindle versions.
  25. October! What is your book activity?
