x I own Karlson on the Roof and might have also read a few of the other ones, I definitely know Pippi but mainly from a TV series.. I think I might have read the book too when I was a child (I read everything interesting that the library had for my age). I hope you enjoy the books ! P.S. It's a joy to visit this thread and read all the ramblements ! How long have you (Kay) and you (Sari) known each other? You talk like you've known each other for years and are very close friends. x I normally call it Confessions of a Shopaholic as that's what's on my copy. It's annoying when they rename books for different countries etc., sometimes you think you haven't heard of this title but then when you read the synopsis, it's a book you've already read being released under a new title. EDIT: I've finished reading The Chimes and am now reading The Cricket at the Hearth, the third story in Charles Dickens - Christmas Books. I'm also still reading the third Mind Gym book.

Historical fiction? EDIT: Is it YA?

We watched some Game of Thrones season two yesterday, but strangely enough some events didn't match what I remember happening in book two. I don't know if they'll happen in book three or whether they were added for extra tension. It bothered me a bit.

The cover is quite nice indeed! Shame the book itself isn't as good as you'd hoped it would be (also, circusses! I don't like them either). Great review! I hope your next read will be more enjoyable .

I hope you like it ! I'm reading Charles Dickens - Christmas Books and have almost finished Chimes, the second story in this book. I had to stop reading it yesterday because my tired mind couldn't follow it anymore. I'm also reading The Mind Gym - Mind Gym 3: Relaties (translated from Relationships).

It depends what kind of disturbing but usually I'm not a fan of that.. do you mean in a violent way, in the way things are described, or the subjects?

It sounds nice, I'm glad you enjoyed this book. Translation errors aren't nice . I think the violence would put me off as well. The many plot twists sound good thoguh.
