Nollaig Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Bump! I want to see more people's art! Pickle I'm still in awe of your talent. The town drawing is beautiful. I didn't actually post any art last time I posted here so here's a recent picture I did of a Lion King styled original character of mine. She's a liger. I don't like the tree branch in this but otherwise I'm quite happy with it. Most of my art is like this, with some exceptions which are more cartoony, and digital portraits of people. Quote
Raven Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 ^ Gasp! What has Shere Khan been up to?! (and does Simba know?!). Quote
Nollaig Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Hahahahahaha I hope not, I don't think he'd be much impressed! Quote
Nollaig Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 You actually just gave me a freaking amazing idea for a story I'm writing. Thanks <3 Quote
Nollaig Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 XD I do not!! I've illustrated a Lion King comic and plan on illustrating one set in the Pridelands based around my OC. There's nothing slashy anywhere! This is off-topic. Here, have a TARDIS I drew. You like DW. Quote
Nollaig Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Indeed! I specifically drew the Tenth as it's my favourite Quote
BookGeek20 Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 I love the tardis! Thanks, Lumiere is definitely one of my faves. I like to do patterns a lot as I can relax and ease my mind by drawing them. I intend to try and develop my own characters a bit more, I am particulary proud of a fairy I drew a while back: Again not the best photo as I took it on my DYING camera :/ Here is some cover art I put together with an old application I had on my mac: I also have other disney characters that I have attempted over the past few years since I started drawing Quote
chaliepud Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 I so envy you all your talent! My Dad is a reasonably successful selling artist (oil stilllifes and the occasional landscape)but I unfortunately didn't inherit his talent Apparently it is can skip a generation and my daughter is very arty so fingers crossed! pickle Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 So I have been in the studio again recently and I have started an ambitious project so far this is my border, I am thinking of a large butterfly as the main bit though.....do you think its a good idea? Quote
lopeanha Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 That makes me want to get my colouring pencils out ... Very nice pickle, you're soooooo talented! Quote
chesilbeach Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 For some reason when I saw the start of the border, pickle, I immediately pictured a big, blousy poppy in the middle of it. But I think a large butterfly would look wonderful, too! Quote
Inver Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Pickle you drawings are wonderful....and yes a butterfly or dragon fly would be lovely I'm sure. Quote
pickle Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 well I went down the butterfly route but it has left me with a tense neck and the begginings of a headache suffering for my art. so now I am not aure whether to leave it like this or add more. so all together it looks like this Quote
Chrissy Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 Pickle, beautiful, just beautiful. What a talent. Quote
Ooshie Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 Pickle, your drawing is absolutely gorgeous! What a great talent to have. Quote

vodkafan Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Thanks so much guys I am just not sure whether I have finished it or whether I need to do a bit more maybe another thistle otherwise its not quite in the centre of the bit in the middle. I like that it's not in the centre Quote
pickle Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 I like that it's not in the centre Thanks VF in the end I left it just like that. Quote
