Brian. Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Finished reading Nemesis yesterday, the books that comes after The Redbreast. It's another great read, just as good if not a little better than The Redbreast. Ive got the next 2 in the series sitting on my shelf and I can't wait to get into them. Quote
dex Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 I read the leopard then the snowman.bought from charity shops. I also found redbreast. I then ordered the rest online and received the devils star and have just received nemesis on their 2nd attempt, still waiting for redeemer. Oh the joys and simplicity of online shopping! Quote

pickle Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Excellent news, I am just working my way through Headhunters at the moment and have read the latest Harry Hole which btw was great! Quote
dex Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 I agree, great news , had to order the redeemer from someone else as the original supplier was useless. Here's hoping that a small supplier can beat a big company I've used before. Only been 2 months they've not managed to pop into their local post office. Quote
Maureen Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Anyone read The Phantom yet? Just finished it, and I think it's the best so far....... Quote

dex Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 (edited) I know it's a daft question but, Has the translator changed the music the characters listen to in the books? Also does the storyline go to the. 4th book? Edited August 18, 2012 by dex Quote
dex Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 I would definately reccomend Jo nesbo to anyone who enjoys a unauthordox cop thriller. Quote
shoreylj Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Just ordered The Bat (Harry Hole #1) on Abebooks. I picked up The Redbreast on a buy 2 get 1 tradepaper sale on B&N about 3 years ago. After being completely confused for the first 50 pages, I finally caught on and could not put it down. Read Devil's Star next, thinking it was the next one available in English - wrong! - and then backed up and did Nemesis. I'm now onto The Redeemer and have the others stacked up waiting to go! I will, however, read The Bat after The Redeemer! I've been taking a few months off inbetween (too many other must reads) and each time forget that it takes a bit to get my head around the storylines. I do love how they all get brought together. dex Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 I'm waiting for the Bat and Phantom to turn up. in cheap paperback. Quote
dex Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 I've just bought headhunters which is a standalone novel Quote
Brian. Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 I saw that the other day in Waterstones (I think it was on offer) but I want to catch up with the Harry Hole books first. Quote
dex Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Has anyone who can do a review in english, read The Cockroaches yet? Quote
Tridensphere Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Jo Nesbo is all I hear from my Dad these days. Maybe that's why I never checked him out. Although, I don;t normally read books in present tense anyway. Quote
dex Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I know that books like Lord of the rings are past tense, but what other crime fiction do you consider to be the same? Quote
Karsa Orlong Posted March 20, 2013 Author Posted March 20, 2013 Eh? Nesbo's books are in past tense, not present Quote
dex Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 I meant that lord of the rings was written after the events, whereas you don't automatically know harry is going to survive. Quote
dex Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 (edited) I meant that you didn't know Harry would survive as you were present with him, following him. Edited August 25, 2013 by dex Quote
