  1. Jo Nesbo is all I hear from my Dad these days. Maybe that's why I never checked him out. Although, I don;t normally read books in present tense anyway.
  2. I was browsing through the kindle free ebooks today when I came across a book I thought needed sharing. It's called A Vagrant Story and it's about this small group of homeless people who find a suicide note and decide to stop the man who wrote it from carrying it out. Basically it's a travel/adventure story where they set out across the city to track the man down using clues in the note. As they go along we start finding more about their past and the reasons why they became homeless. Some of it is pretty heart wrencing but it's still pretty fun/funny at the same time. It's strangely humourous for a book which uses suicide in its plot. I don't want to ruin it for anyone. It's still free at the moment. You can take one look at it and know I only clicked on it first because of that brilliant cover. I haven't seen a book cover as good as that in a long time. Covers today usually have something photoshopped onto them http://www.amazon.com/A-Vagrant-Story-ebook/dp/B00BR4MKS8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1363049597&sr=8-2&keywords=a+vagrant+story This is the summary on the site: When four homeless people find a suicide note they vow to save the man who wrote it before he can carry it out. With only until New Year's Eve to track him down they follow clues in the note which lead them on a journey across the city. Having long hidden in the darkness of the gutter, the four must finally return to the world they left behind and inevitably face the demons of their past they've long been running from. They find a city corrupted, over run with turf wars and violence. The people tremble as a serial killer stalks the midnight air. The police appear to have given up hope in catching him. This killer is seemingly unstoppable. Unstoppable, until his path crosses with that of four hapless bums. The last thread of hope lies in each of their hands as their journey to save one man’s life causes them to save many.
  3. I have done a self defence course, but I couldn't name the martial arts they thought for the life of me. My brothers are all boxers though so I know a bit of that too.
  4. I haven't heard much about this fight since it was announced. Is it still on? Need something to take the taste of Price vs Thompson out of my mouth.

    Hey

I'm Jenna, I'm not really a heavy reader but I'm looking to grow into it more. I'm honestly not reading too many paper books anymore. I enjoy the variety I get on the kindle more, especially the free books that are out there
  6. This guy is probably my favourite writer. He's probably not the most talented but his books are always a great pleasure to read and a hell of a lot of fun.
  7. call me when he actually writes his own book for once
  8. Call me cliche but Romeo and Juliet along with Wuthering Heights will always be my choices. Memoirs of a Geisha is also another good on. And god I just love Princess Bride. Guilty pleasure but proud of it.
  9. LOL This book is like revisiting school all over again. I'm not sure if I can read it again without remembering having to study it as a teenager. Would love to try appreciate it on its own someday.
  10. with the kindle now it's crazy how many books I have to get to
