Peacefield Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 I will be finishing off the last of my lentil soup when I get home tonight, YES! I clearly made too big of a batch and am utterly tired of it . It's very good though, I'll admit. Quote

kurtz Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 have to make own dinner as wife out of town so no Thai food for dinner. Fusilli pasta and can of sardines with tomato sauce. Yesterday cooked spaghetti and threw in canned tuna with curry which is very good. Have different flavors but yesterday was panaeng which is red curry. Only cost about 1 dollar in US money. Quote
Peacefield Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 I made myself a taco salad tonight, with ground chicken, salsa, onions and red beans. Now I have leftovers for the next two days! Quote
Kylie Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Leftover pasta preceded by some rocky road my Mum made for me. Quote
kurtz Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 No Maureen I do not cook Thai food. It is a lot of work with lots of chopping and pounding chilis and frying. Sometimes I mix Thai food with farang stuff like mayonnaise or ketchup or margarine and I think it is very good but Thai people think it is disgusting. Although they put corn in ice cream and ketchup on pizza. Tonight daughter is making dinner which is phad khapao kai or fried basil and chilis with chicken, and also yam pla kapong which is spicy salad with canned sardines. Quote
SaraPepparkaka Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Today will be a fish day. Fillet of perch, I think I will just fry them, and eat with boiled potatoes and some sauce. Quote
Maureen Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Yes I know it is time consuming, but the food is good. (I like it ) I want to ask you about good food in Chang Mai when you have some time Quote
