Chrissy Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Blue ~ Joni Mitchell. It is making me cry. I love this song and it's been an age since I heard it.
Peacefield Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 John Denver - Annie's Song I have a soft spot for Denver, Noll, but his songs always make me so weepy! 'Take Me Home Country Road' especially, since I always remember my sisters singing it when we would walk the dirt roads up at the cabin. Right now I've got political talk radio on until the baseball game starts in a couple of hours.
Nollaig Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 The first version of Country Roads I ever heard was a slightly-dance-y remix with loads of clapping and footstamping by some artists whose title I'm sure was 'DJ' something or other. So as you can imagine, that killed the song for me for years, but yes, it's a beautiful song. Annie's Song is my favourite, and really should be sung with helium ( - you need to turn it up, it's in the background and quiet.)
Peacefield Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Wow, Noll, hilarious! I can't believe I've never heard a Denver song on helium before .
Peacefield Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Actually, that song is very pretty no matter how one sings it! It gets me teary, too .
frankie Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Down In A Hole (Unplugged) - Alice in Chains Very much approved by me
