Madeleine Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 I hate sales too, never bother with them, there's rarely anything decent anyway! Quote
Talisman Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 I always say there is a reason why most of that stuff is on sale - because it's rubbish that nobody wants! Quote
muggle not Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 We had grilled cheese sandwiches for super tonight. And, a glass of lemonade. Quote
Echo Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Oooh...grilled cheese sandwich...well, I know what I'm having for dinner! Grilled cheese, tomato soup, and a tall, cold glass of milk. Quote
Marie H Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 Strawberry cheesecake Oreos - my favourite biscuits at the moment. Quote
Marie H Posted November 18, 2018 Posted November 18, 2018 Cup of coffee, and a warmed mince pie (with Viennese whirl topping) - just heavenly Quote
Michele Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 Pampepato dessert... prepared by my family as we do in central Italy in Xmas time! Simply Amazing! Quote
bobblybear Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 I've just had a homemade cheeseburger for lunch. Not the healthiest of meals but so delicious. Quote
Marie H Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 Smoked salmon & scrambled eggs wth oatcakes. Quote
Chrissy Posted December 25, 2018 Posted December 25, 2018 Just indulging in a puff pastry mince pie, chased down with a mug of tea. Quote
Roderick99 Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Instant noodles here and a matcha bubble tea. Quote
Hayley Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 @Roderick99 I was sceptical about bubble tea until my sister got me to try it, it's such a weirdly nice texture! I just had beans on toast, one of my favourite simple things Quote
muggle not Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 I have never heard of beans on toast. Please give a little more info. Type of beans etc. Quote
Hayley Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 @muggle not I didn't realise beans on toast is a British thing! They're baked beans, in a tomato sauce (not like ketchup tomato sauce though, these are orange.) I'm including a stock image because I think I'm just making them sound weird... They're lovely with the crunchy toast. Chips and beans is also a personal favourite... as is sausage, mash and beans Quote
Onion Budgie Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Baked beans are delicious! They are usually made with haricot beans. I had some yesterday with a veggie burger-in-a-bun, chips, and steamed veg. I've just now had an amazing vegetable jambalaya, with brown rice, black beans, broccoli, tinned tomatoes, spices, and a heap of other veg all mixed in. Quote

For Easter my wife always makes home baked beans, potato salad (with lots of dill), and pickled eggs. We also have baked ham with the meal. 6 hours ago, Onion Budgie said: Baked beans are delicious! What you all call haricot beans we call Navy beans. Edited April 7, 2019 by muggle not Quote
DannyK Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 I just finished eating a torta (Mexican sandwich) and am enjoying a cup of good americano! Quote
Raven Posted August 14, 2020 Posted August 14, 2020 I don't think I should have eaten that whole bag of Mango Chutney flavoured Poppadoms... Quote
Raven Posted October 30, 2020 Posted October 30, 2020 Lord alive, I've died and gone to breakfast food heaven! Just popped in M&S on my way into work and have found they are doing Full English Breakfasts in a box! 2 minutes in the microwave and you have bacon, a poached egg, a sausage, tomato and beans. Wonderful! I can see this becoming a bad habit... Quote
