Saturday evening we went to dinner at an Irish restaurant. I had "bangers and mash" for the first time. It was very good. We will go back to this restaurant as the people were nice and the food was very good.

last night for dinner I had stuffed peppers (huge bell peppers from my garden). It was one of the best meals of stuffed peppers that I have had that I can remember.

I'm glad the squirrels didn't eat your peppers!! Can we have your stuffed peppers recipe, please? I've never tried doing that.

I'm just about to cook (heat-up :D) Waitrose's peppered grillsteak (which is actually a beefburger) and chips in beef dripping (very tasty, though I can't imagine it's won any health awards :D) have bought peas and mushrooms and crusty bread to go with .. oh and alcohol :D Happy days .. no dessert though

I find this funny as bangers and mash is a traditional English meal! Bacon, cabbage and mash would be more like an Irish meal! Or an Irish stew!

I just had a yummy slice of chocolate cake :D

Stuffed Peppers:

hamburg - cook the hamburg

Brown rice - cook the rice

Mix the cooked hamburg and rice together

Large green bell pepper - cut the top off and clean out the insides some

Fill the pepper with the hamburg - rice mixture

Top the pepper with bread crumbs (some crumbs can also go in the tomatoes)

Put in baking dish

Open 1 or 2 cans of diced tomatoes (the cans that have pepper and onion in them)

Put tomatoes in baking dish

Bake until done

I'm eating strepsils :(

Aww :empathy:

If you're up to it, do try drinking some ginger tea - with a splash of honey.

This usually chases my colds away in a day. That, and plenty of sleep.

:flowers2:

Hope you feel better soon.
