madcow
I really wanted to finish it, I tried, I tried!!! That's a shame, I really enjoyed it. It would be a boring place if we all liked the same things though Ps - Just had a peak at your new book and it looks good KW. madcow
Just to say A Season of Eden arrived safely this morning, looking forward to reading it just as soon as I have finished After You'd Gone.
KW
Now reading A Certain Slant of Light - so far so good.
KW
Put down a Certain Slant and picked up The Darkest Night - which, after 2 chapters was so unrealistic ( okay, it's paranormal, but why would a woman GO AFTER a man who threatens to tear her apart??? Just because she's attracted to him unexplainably?!?!?!) No. Not working. Shades of an old movie with the weak female running through the forest and she TRIPS!!! Not happening for me. Back to A Certain Slant....
Michelle
Put down a Certain Slant and picked up The Darkest Night This one? That's not the sort of book I'd expect you to pick up! What about The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas?
KW
That's the one. Yeeks. I'm going to give SLANT another chance, if it doesn't sink its teeth in, then its on to STRIPED PJs.
KW
I ADORED Stripes. Very engaging. HIghly recommend! The ending....WOW.
KW
Now reading Living Dead Girl...so far interesting.
KW
Couldn't finish LIVING DEAD GIRL by Elisabeth Scott. Too unrealistic that this abducted girl wouldn't do SOMETHING to try to get away from this creep. (I've read better abduction stories ) She was so "dead" she couldn't try to escape?? Come one. Annoyed, I put the book down. Maybe she did escape her abductor in the end, I didn't care enough about her to plod through the repetitive story to find out. Michelle
No hon.. did you not see the wink? It just makes me laugh that you seem to struggle so much to find a book you enjoy.. and I would imagine that's partly down to you being a writer..? Charm
I saw you recommend 'The Vampire Chronicles' by LJ Smith and was wondering are they anything like Anne Rice vampire novels . I'm on the lookout for a good vampire read
KW
I saw you recommend 'The Vampire Chronicles' by LJ Smith and was wondering are they anything like Anne Rice vampire novels . KW
I'm reading the Hunger Games. Liking it so far, though the 'voice' of the main character sounds too adult for my liking. It IS a YA book, after all.
