KW
Read most of Linda Lael Miller's HIGH COUNTRY BRIDE but in the end the melodrama made me unable to finish it. Onto something else....

KW
Reading a YA story: Boot Camp about a kid who gets sent to a "reform school" type place. So far, so good.
KW
I've read FIght CLub since I was last here and now am on to ECLIPSE, the long awaited third installment by Stephenie Meyer in her vampire series.
Michelle
I thought you didn't like vampire books, Katherine?
KW
I DON'T like vampire books as a rule, Michelle ~ which explains why I did NOT finish Eclipse...lol. I adored Interview WIth A Vampire, though. Now, I'm reading Time Traveler's Wife...I'm about through the first chapter and am liking it fairly well. Interesting concept. Though another book came in the mail today and...yikes, it's grabbing me just with the cover!
KW
Couldn't finish TTW. Started Lisa Kleypas' MINE UNTIL MIDNIGHT and put that down. Now, I'm going back to an old fav: Midnight Bayou I need a book guaranteed to deliver!
Michelle
I put down TTW, then picked it back up, finished it, and loved it. Don't give up on it too quickly. Did you read Midnight Bayou again?
Maureen
I agree K, it is a great story!

KW
I found a book I enjoyed: The Outcast by Sadie Jones. Finished that and read Water for Elephants. Enjoyed that as well.
madcow
Not read The Outcast but loved Water For Elephants, so I'll look out for it and add it to Mt TBR.
KW
Am now reading ATONEMENT...I'm just sooooo happy to be ( it seems ) on a reading roll!
angelofboox
How coincidental, Atonement and Water For Elephants were the last two books I read for a Book Club I run! I liked Water For Elephants, particularly the bits with the older Jacob - Atonement was good but not as likable, methinks.
KW
Got through three chaps of Atonement and just couldnt go on...lol, sounds like I was trekking through the desert....FELT like it too. Grrrrrrrrr. Onto searching again!

KW
I finished BURNT SIENNA - by an author whose name escapes me. It was OK. Mass market mystery stuff -- they all read the same to me.
KW
I'm enjoying A LIfetime Burning, tho it still hops around too much for my liking, however, I see what the author is doing with the hopping. I'm where Rory and Flo are about 18 and things are heating up....
KW
Tried to read Emotional Geology but couldn't finish it. Am now back to the forum, hunting down my NEXT read...
