There should be a symbol for "come talk to me about my book if you really want to!", like a certain type/colour of book mark protruding from the book. Would get the reading community closer! Yes, like a traffic light system - Red- Leave me alone and don't even look at my book. Amber- You can look but don't chat. Green- Come talk to me I'm everyones friend! Everything you experience influences you one way or another, and if your experience of choice is that of books, then it must follow that who you are is influenced by what you've read. If I can't see the cover I surreptitiously try to read snippets of the book to see if it's one I've read. lol I do that too, I always feel a bit guilty about it though. Kings' books are the epitome of freaky dangerous cool.....books like The Stand and Misery and IT have a kind of cool status associated with them, even nowadays. And the name appealed to me for some reason and I thought she was soooooooo cool haha. So I decided to read it a year later and I enjoyed it.
