Nollaig
If it's half as good as Dorian Gray i'll be very happy Nothing beats Dorian for me, but I do love Earnest too. I need to watch the Colin Firth movie

Mexicola
The movie displeases me and I've not even seen it yet. I don't like who they've cast as Dorian, he just doesn't look the part!
Nollaig
No I meant the Earnest movie, which is a few years old now. I wouldn't bother with the Dorian Gray movie, it's apparently rubbish.

BookJumper
The Colin-Rupert film of Ernest is hilarious, do recommend. Dame Judi Dench is THE Lady Bracknell.
chesilbeach
Finished Fallen by Lauren Kate this morning. And I don't know how I managed it, but spent about half an hour in the bookshop this morning and came out empty handed! I already have plenty of books to keep me going, and willpower and determination stayed with me long enough to help me overcome the urge to buy at least one book

Nicola Booth
After a slow start at beginning of year, I plan to do some serious reading! It took me best part of two weeks to finish the new Marian Keyes, The Brightest Star in the Sky! Was good but did not have same feel to it as her other books. At times I forgot I was reading Marian Keyes. Started the year off with a Martina Reilly book, Second Chances.
Ernie
Just have to say that the book I'm reading at the moment is without a doubt the best book I've ever read in my life Feet In The Clouds by Richard Askwith
Lucybird
Haven't read anything today yet, but yesterday finished Club Dead and started Dead to the world. I think Club Dead is my favourite of the series so far.
Kylie
The Vagners are mentioned and one still pops up every now and then, but really it is mainly about Lisabeth, for me better than the first, I have the third one waiting for me after I finish the book I am reading. Thanks for the info, Catwoman. Ian Fleming: Casino Royale ( Kylie, if you ever feel like it, we could do a mini groupreading on this ) We could indeed do that I gave away my other Ian Fleming novels but kept this one because it's on the 1001 list. It looks like a short read too. I read a little more of Something Fresh yesterday and couldn't resist starting The Plucker by Brom. So far it's pretty good. I also finally got around to putting together my new bookcase yesterday and I spent a large chunk of the day going through all of my books and comparing them to my LibraryThing list. I'm trying to get myself more organised.

Some great stories. Love the one about the older guy who swore he could run 100m in a ridiculously fast time...and then did!

catwoman
Whoooo hooooo, my mojo has come back, I read 200 pages last night and I only have 100 to go! The book is getting a lot better now, and I really don't want to put it down. God damn housework! I will most certainly finish it tonight, I may even finish it when I take the kids down the park, I think I do more reading on that park bench than anywhere else. Hopefully I will be able to start, The Girl who kicked the Hornests' nest. I seriously can't wait and I have bumped it up my pile. I am so utterly excited.
