Talisman Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 We had our main meal at lunch time as usual - we went out today as well and had stuffed butternut squash with mixed veg.
Fi. Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 I had butternut squash, sage & parmesan risotto
jewell Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 My neighbours brought us over a plate of food. It was two rice dishes. So we had a little of each for our tea. It's really nice actually, they often bring us a little bit of something they've cooked up.
Peacefield Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 After 11 hours at work I never feel like cooking, so I had a few crackers with hummus and apples with peanut butter. Mmmmm Honeycrisp apples are in season now!

Inver Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Have been a nice mummy this afternoon. Felt like doing a wee bit of baking as I haven't in ages, probably to not tempt me to eat any. However I decided to make chocolate muffins with choc chips sprinkled on top....the smell is so yummy, how will I resist! Kenny has just come in the door from school and made a bee line for the kitchen to see what the nice smell was.... Andy won't be back till later on so hope there are some left.... So I was just wondering what is your favourite home baking smell to come home to?
Inver Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Pasta with a lentil and red pepper sauce I think, if I get around to making it.
Chrissy Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 May I just say YUM! Mine would be baking bread, cakes & biscuits, a roast dinner and my homemade veg soup. Not all at the same time though. I do all the cooking here, so I don't usually get the benefit of walking in to the aromas. I may have to leave the house next time and return a few minutes later just to get a foodie aroma boost!
hotleggs11 Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 (edited) I am having steak pie and tatties hehe and veg yummm. Ohhh and then a bit of cheesecake I forgot hehe. Edited September 23, 2009 by Nollaig Doublepost. (And capitals.)
Stephanie2008 Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Can I please, please, please have a chocolate muffin I've never had homemade ones before! My favourite baking smell is bread. When I can, I love to make bread (not loaves but like little rolls) and the smell is fantastic!
Fi. Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 I was out for dinner tonight and had pasta with aubergine, courgette, onion, garlic, pecorino and mozzarella followed by a delicious caramel mousse
hotleggs11 Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 (edited) I love the smell of my mums rolls, so so nice, especially when they're hot and I put butter on and it melts yum!! Edited September 23, 2009 by Nollaig Grammar and gratuitous mmm's.
