Kylie Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 I finished watching Gilmore Girls season 4 and am 5 episodes into season 5. I guess I'm having a bit of a marathon.
frankie Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 I just watched Whip it with BF. BF's been listening endlessly to Rick Ross's song Hustlin' in which he raps "whip it whip it real hard" and when he was trying to find us some movie to watch he noticed the title Whip it and got that without knowing anything about the movie. Turns out it was pretty good There were some surprising names such as Juliette Lewis, Eve the R 'n B artist, the actor who played Juno and Zo
Nicola Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 I watched Frost Nixon last night and it was BRILLIANT!!!!
Peacefield Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 I loved Frost/Nixon, Nicola! I'm forever in love with Michael Sheen because of it . I really think Frank Langella deserved the Oscar last year for his portrayal of Nixon instead of Sean Penn. I've been meaning to see Whip It, Frankie, glad you liked it! I loved Ellen Page in Juno so have been wanting to see her in other things. Oh, and did you know that Juliette Lewis has a band and is the singer? I saw her a couple of years ago open for Chris Cornell and they were really good! They're called Juliette and the Licks .

I would recommend Whip It, not the best and wittiest movie ever but a good movie nonetheless Some rare tunes as well, never heard -stuff which sounds cool. Yeah I know about Juliette and the Licks, I've got their first record for 1-2 years now and it kicks ass, it's really good!! After watching Strange Days like years ago (another epic movie!) I always thought she should be a singer in a rock group and I was soooo thrilled when I found their album I'm soo envious that you've actually seen them, she's got a lot of charisma and I believe she's awesome on stage, I've heard she goes into a zone and doesn't notice if she hurts herself while twisting and jumping around. That's dedication.
Charm Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 I'm afraid I hated The Blair WitchProject and thought it over-hyped and rubbish I tend to agree, I was a bit disappointed with Paranormal Activity too. The only film that really freaked me out was 28 Days Later, but then that's zombie types, I hate zombies. Last DVD I watched was Wolverine

bethany725 Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 We had 2 free credits from Amazon for DVD rentals.. Raja picked one and I had to pick the other. Against my better judgment, I picked My Sister's Keeper.. Not a good pick.

That's dedication. That's so cool you have some of her music, Frankie! I've only heard the songs they played that night but have been meaning to track them down on iTune for ages. It was a really good show, and their vibe seem to fit well with Chris, so the whole night was amazing. She sort of reminded me of a female Mick Jagger if you know what I mean. Very energetic and doing all these crazy dance moves around the stage all night . I watched Emma this afternoon with Gwyneth Paltrow. One of my faves!

Yeah she's really great isn't she! I haven't actually seen Juno yet, but everybody tells me that the movie is fantastic and I definitely need to see it sometime That's so cool you have some of her music, Frankie! Very energetic and doing all these crazy dance moves around the stage all night . Now that you mention it I can totally see the Mick Jagger reference, only Juliette is much hotter I still can't believe you've actually seen her show!! You definitely need to check out their music. I've only got their first EP, I'd recommend the songs Got Love to Kill and I Am My Father's Daughter I watched Emma this afternoon with Gwyneth Paltrow. One of my faves! Nice! I haven't seen that one in a while, need to do something about it.
ned Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Champions League Final 2008. John Terry slipping still makes me laugh.
Stephanie2008 Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Doctor Who - Turn Left, Stolen Earth and Journey's End
Peacefield Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 I watched another couple West Wing eps last night, from season 4 right before Sam leaves . Frankie, Juno is really an excellent film so I hope you get to see it one of these days! The writer, Diablo Cody, lived here in town for awhile and wrote for a local paper. The dialogue she wrote for that movie is so different, and it makes the film, I'm telling you! Thanks for passing on those song titles too! Juliette is much more appealing to look at than Mick Jagger, I agree .
AbielleRose Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Mona Lisa Smile That's a great movie Dancer in the Dark
