Raven Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 7.20pm tomorrow night, ITV1 - it's better than watching men in tights! Quote
Raven Posted March 27, 2009 Author Posted March 27, 2009 But it's outrageously OTT dinosaurs eating people, what's not to like?! Go buy the DVDs now, it's a hoot! Quote
Mia Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Gah! I watch Robin Hood and Primeval, and I bet they're on at the same time. I prefer Merlin to be honest, but at least I'll be able to watch Guy of Gisburn in Robin Hood! Quote

I prefer Merlin to be honest, but at least I'll be able to watch Guy of Gisburn in Robin Hood! They are, Boy Hoody starts at 6.50, Primeval, as I said above, starts at 7.20. I like Merlin as well, but all three are but pretenders to the crown. Quote

Raven Posted March 27, 2009 Author Posted March 27, 2009 But what has the crown? Doctor Who? Why of course, it's the show who's success they are all trying to emulate after all! (Easter Saturday folks, Planet of the Dead!). Quote
Mia Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 OMG! Easter Saturday!! I didn't know the first special was on then. Excellent! Quote
chrysalis_stage Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 I never got into Primeval either! Not watched a full episode tho I don't think. Probably not given it a chance. Enjoyed Merlin too! Quote
Cadenza Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 I can't wait till primeval starts again but i'm annoyed too that it is on at the same time as Robin Hood! Quote
Raven Posted March 27, 2009 Author Posted March 27, 2009 Going back on-topic, if people haven't seen it it's probably best to start at the beginning, I'm not sure tomorrow night's episode will be a good starting point! Quote

Yeah, I wouldn't watch something when there are previous episodes unseen, would ruin it and wouldn't understand it the same I reckon. Quote
mister.g Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 I'll definitely be watching Primeval tonight - it'll be interesting to see how the story pans out after the cliffhanger at the end of last season. On the subject of Robin Hood - not so bothered..... Quote
Mia Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 In the end I decided to watch Robin Hood, so I'm taping this at the moment. Quote
Raven Posted April 6, 2009 Author Posted April 6, 2009 The second episode was a lot better than the first - what is Helen Cutter up to?! Quote
Michelle Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 ooh.. I wonder what the rest of the show will be like without Cutter in it? Quote
Raven Posted April 14, 2009 Author Posted April 14, 2009 I watched this on Sunday, bit of a shock ending . . . Quote
Angel Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 HELP!!!!! Did anyone catch the secret word at the end of tonights show? We missed the word as DH and I were talking - son is now very upset!!!! Quote
Angel Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 You're a star - thank you, I now have a happy boy!!! Quote
Raven Posted June 15, 2009 Author Posted June 15, 2009 Primeval extinct. No great surprise, falling viewing figures combined with ITV tightening their purse strings. I feel the show would have lasted longer if it had a more cohesive mythology, but it was fun whilst it lasted. Quote
KimmyS Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 It's back!! Hur-Rarrrrrrrr! WOOOOHOOOOOO!!! I love me some Prieval. Funny thing is I never got into the first series. The other half watched it and I was like "ah ****...another dino show". And then one day I sat and watched one episode and found it really great. Since then I was hooked and I cannot wait for it to come back. I wonder how they are getting back though...the last cliffhanger was pretty much 'end of' Quote
D.Elode Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Primeval really is awful. As I think Rich once stressed, British TV normally just doesnt have the budget to make good sci-fi. Dr. Who only redeems its bad CGI with very good writing. Quote
