muggle not Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 These are two separate questions: 1. What do you normally have for breakfast? 2. What is your favorite breakfast? Quote
Nollaig Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 I don't eat breakfast. If I really need to eat in the morning I'll just have some toast. Quote
Mac Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 I have an insane metabolism and I keep myself fit, so I have to eat bloomin' masses of food just to stay upright. Given the time and choice, it'd be a cooked brekkie every day for me. However, during the week it's cereal (crunchy nut cornflakes), toast (two slices with butter and jam, please) and a homemade smoothie. I've already had my mug of tea by this stage. Quote
Wilde Lily Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 I usually have a bowl of hot cream of rice cereal with a dot of butter and sprinkled with brown sugar, and a glass of orange juice. My favorite breakfast is Eggs Benedict and sausage or bacon, and a small glass of V8 vegetable juice. Quote
Chimera Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 What does 'Premium Member' mean, please? I think it's a special status for members who have made a donation to help run the forum. I have muesli most days in the morning. The best would be croissant with butter and jam. Yum! Quote
Angel Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Boiled egg with bread and butter soldiers Favourite - has to be the full English! Quote
Inver Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 1. What do you normally have for breakfast? Orange juice and cereal (usually some sort of Special K, sometimes with prunes on top). 2. What is your favorite breakfast? That would have to be warmed croissants and some sort of delicious expensive jam and fresh brewed coffee. Quote
Ceinwenn Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 1. What do you normally have for breakfast? I usually manage to scoff some toast at work & sometimes even manage a couple slices of bacon (ah the joys of working in a hotel!) 2. What is your favorite breakfast? French toast (or eggy bread as my OH calls it) with maple syrup, back bacon, pain aux raisins, orange juice & chai tea Quote
Chimera Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 French toast (or eggy bread as my OH calls it) with maple syrup, back bacon, pain aux raisins, orange juice & chai tea That's an interesting mix! *grin* English, french and indian all rolled up into one meal... Sounds yummy too. Quote
Cadenza Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 I always have the same breakfast (unless i'm on holiday): A big bowl of cereal, Weetabix and Honey Loops, with grapes and a piece of toast and honey, no butter. Also a glass of apple juice. My favourite breakfast is Full english - yummy! But I rarely have it Quote
Chrissy Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 1. Fresh Fruit - all chopped up, or porridge with dried fruit. 2. Fresh smoked Loch Fyne kippers served with breakfast tea and toast with homemade tangy marmalade (am having this next week when we're in Scotland!) Quote
BookBee8 Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 1. I don't really, I never have the time because I leave it until the last minute to roll out of bed. If I do have breakfast, it's a cereal bar or a mini sausage roll. 2. Cooked breakfast with bacon, hash browns, sausages, beans and toast. Quote
Nollaig Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 1. I don't really, I never have the time because I leave it until the last minute to roll out of bed. That's exactly what I do Quote
SaraPepparkaka Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 1. Turkish yoghurt with cloudberry jam and pecan nuts. Sometimes toast, and sometimes cereals instead. And some other jam if there's no cloudberry jam. 2. Turkish youghurt with cloudberry jam and pecan nuts, slices of ananas (fresh, not out of a can) on the side, and then a cup of tea and the morning paper. Quote
Rawr Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 I have actually never had breakfast (except for if i go on holiday) since i was a little kid i don't think. My parents were constantly working and rushing about so didn't really encourage me towards it. I don't really like toast first thing in the morning and am not fond of milk and soggy cereal. I usually wait until dinner time. I have cereal at the strangest times though, like the dead of night or in the evening. Quote
BookBee8 Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 I have cereal at the strangest times though, like the dead of night or in the evening. Me too, if I ever fancy it, it's always at an odd time. I rarely fancy 'breakfast' food in the mornings. Quote
Rawr Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Yeah, for some reason cornflakes appeal to me late in the day, but i can't stomach cereal early on for some reason, it's strange and rather backward lmao. Quote
Charm Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 These are two separate questions: 1. What do you normally have for breakfast? 2. What is your favorite breakfast? 1. I would usually have a glass of pure orange, a bowl of bran flakes, muesli, or weetabix with skimmed milk and banana. 2. I would love to have a glass of pure orange and a plate of warm pancakes drizzled with maple syrup, with fresh sweet strawberries on the side and a large cup of coffee! Quote
~Andrea~ Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 usually cereal - often weetabix, or special k sustain or shreddies. My favourite is full english - which is what I had today because I stayed in a hotel last night (I always eat cooked breakfast when I stay in a hotel) I had: bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, beans, mushroom, tomato and hash brown plus orange juice, a small bowl of cereal and some fruit salad. It was fab. Quote
lexiepiper Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Like Rawr and Bookbee, I don't eat cereal when I get up, if I want toast or cereal it's normally always in the evening, I don't really eat breakfast at all, I'll wait a few hours until I'm hungry and then eat something lunch-y Quote
rach.at.the.disco Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 I very rarely eat breakfast, especially during the week. When I do have it I tend to only eat toast and jam as I hate milk (I can only drink it disguised in a brew :tong:). The only time I have a cooked breakfast is when someone else is cooking . Quote
MDR124 Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 I use to change often my "usual" breakfast, which is milk and cheerios, with everything else of sweet I have at home (especially when I have a particular sicilian almond pastry , or a ricotta cheese cake). Quote
