Nellie
Has anyone read this? I was wondering whether there was any substance to it, after all it's reputation is for being rather saucy. I missed the David Tennant series on BBC3, but everyone raves about it and a colleague told me the book was better, althought I suspect that may be for sauciness reasons! Icecream
I loved the David Tennant series, but was more interested in the old Casanoca's explanations of what he did. I missed some parts though and would love to read it. I wonder if anyone on here has read it and thinks it's worth it?
Charm
I loved the series with David Tennant in it too but I found it more funny than saucy I have been told though I have a strange sense of humour!
Raven
I loved the series with David Tennant in it too but I found it more funny than saucy I have been told though I have a strange sense of humour! I seem to remember an interview with Russell T Davis from the time this was screened where he said they deliberately played down the 'saucy' aspect of the story to emphasise the personal story. I think I can also remember him being quite proud that there was little or no nudity in it.
Nellie
I understood there to be a strong personal story in it too, which is why I wondered what other knew about it. Perhaps I'll give it a go.
