Catch 22 by Joseph Heller is one I've been meaning to try for years. I got it out of the school library when I was about 13 (OMG - that's nearly 30 years ago. Where's my zimmer?) but couldn't get into it but I'm sure I could now!

Lolita by Nabokov. Again, when I was about 13/14, The Police (pop group for you youngsters!) released 'Don't Stand So Close To Me' and as I was obsessed with the group I wanted to read it but somehow never got round to it. I've got it on my TBR now but I keep putting it to the bottom of the pile. :P

I URGE you to read Lolita haha it's fantastic. And yeah, I've been meaning to read Catch 22 for years! Everytime I'm in a bookshop or a library it's there, staring me in the face but I just go "Meh, another time" and walk off.

Catch-22 is a very good book, but I found it tough to get through.

My book demons include Great Expectations, Jane Eyre and the daddy of them all:

Moby Dick.

I've started the latter twice now and failed both times - before they have even set sail!

One day I shall complete it!
