bethany725 Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Hi Everyone! Happy New Year to you all! I just joined today, as the forum I was in previously just shut down. I did some searches for other forums that may fit me well, and decided on BCF. Happy to be here! I'm 26 years old, originally from the US but am temporarily living in Mumbai, India (I just heard the call to prayer outside my window.. not kidding.. this place is fascinating for a girl from a small town in the southern US!). Been here 3 months, have 3 more to go, and as I'm not working, have plenty of time for my favorite hobby of reading! I'll probably spend much time in the chick lit section of this board, but am also hoping to expand my horizons by checking out some other sections and finding other inspirations! bethany725 Posted January 6, 2009 Author Posted January 6, 2009 Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone Chimera, to answer your question -- My husband's in a rotational job program that has us moving every 6 mos for the first 2 years. -- 2 domestic (US) followed by 2 international rotations. We're halfway through our first international rotation here in India, then we'll move to one more country. Definitely a different experience here in India... Learning a lot! Quote

My husband was still here but is at least of Indian descent, so he fits in a bit better He just laid low for a week or so. We postponed my return flight back for 2 weeks to give everything a chance to settle first. Quote
