Chimera Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Chimera, I see Harry Potter amongst your shelves! Yep, original arent I? Some fantastic well organised bookshelf piccies on here. How do you keep them so tidy people? We tidied them up before taking photos? *laughs* In my case there arent that many books and most of them are standard pocket editions so it's easy... Quote
Ben Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Okay bear in mind, I only have about 35 books here at college, I have an entire pink bookcase at my parents house with 4 shelves full! So I'll show ye that next time I'm home but for now this is my measley little display More on the way though!! I see Inkheart and Inkspell amongst them! I haven't read either, but have Inkgheart ready and waiting. Quote
BookBee8 Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 I like this thread. I love Kylie's bookcases! I've enjoyed looking and going 'Ooh, I've got that one!'. Although, like Roxi, I am a little embarrassed to show mine as it's my Uni pile so the rest are at home. These are my favourites and my TBR . This was taken before Christmas so I've got about fifteen more now. Quote
Nollaig Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Your Uni pile still kicks my Uni pile's behind Quote
lexiepiper Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 I spy lots of books that I have in BookBee's pile Quote
BookBee8 Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 I spy lots of books that I have in BookBee's pile Hehe, yeah, I thought exactly the same when I saw yours. I've also got The Time Travelers Wife and Bitten and Stolen now, so our piles are becoming even more similar Quote

Yes, she would! It's her fave book Even I bought it because she said such good things about it Quote
Ben Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Yes, she would! It's her fave book Even I bought it because she said such good things about it Hm, I'll push it up the TBR list then! Quote
BookBee8 Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Hehe, the last few posts made me smile! Yep, exactly what lexie said, I would recommend it a thousand times over. Quote
lexiepiper Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 I bought it last week, and it's amongst the pile of books I'm dying to read! If only I could read faster (or spend less time on the forum )! Quote
Ben Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Hehe, the last few posts made me smile! Yep, exactly what lexie said, I would recommend it a thousand times over. Good! Back to the topic, I took a picture of my bookshelves with my phone, I'll see if I can get it uploaded tomorrow, seen as though I had you lot asking for it putting up! Quote

Haha, I know the feeling! :boogie:I'm sure you'll let me know what you think! I've just ordered four more books off Play.com so my pile is gonna change again, I'll have to take a picture when they arrive and give you all an update. My TBR pile will never shrink Quote
lexiepiper Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 I will do And yeah I know what you mean, I have nearly 80 on my TBR pile, and I think to myself that I really need to get it down, but it soon accumulates again! Quote
Kylie Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 I like this thread. I love Kylie's bookcases! Aw, thanks! They've probably changed a bit since that pic was taken (i.e., there are more books!) I've probably said this before, but I get a lot of pleasure from just looking at my books and re-arranging them etc Quote
Guest ii Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 just looking at my books and re-arranging them etc Growing up, that was my idea of "cleaning my room". Quote
Nollaig Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I hold you guys completely responsible for this: January 16th 2009: 37 or 38 books February 12th 2009: 59 books. No wonder I'm broke!!! Old and new bookshelf for comparison: Quote
Chrissy Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Now that shelf looks like a book shelf, not some random bit of painted wood that a few books landed on! You're broke because of books - what better reason? Quote

Nollaig Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 True, true I'm happy, I still have most of those yet to read! Quote
